Mr. Li Weihan was my primary school teacher, at that time I was about 10 years old, after more than 30 years, many memories have become blurred, and Mr. Li also died of illness for many years. But to this day, I can still vividly recall in my mind when he was in class and his teachings to me.

My father was also an elementary school teacher, and I was initiated in the first grade class that my father taught. My father was always a serious and unsmiling man, and he gave me a frustrated education, and although my academic performance was very good, he never praised me in person, so that at that time, I always felt that I was a student who was not welcomed by the teacher.
When I was in the third grade, for other reasons, I transferred to Yintang Central Primary School near my home, and finally broke away from the shadow of my father's education, and I grew up like a free bird in the school. Reading storybooks in class, fishing in class (a small river in front of the elementary school classroom) fights, playing a lot, and academic performance plummets. It wasn't until the fourth grade that I met Mr. Li Weihan. At that time, he had just been transferred from other schools to our school as the principal and taught us Chinese. That's when I started learning in the true sense of the word.
Mr. Li's Chinese class was very attractive and touching, and he had a deep affection for Chairman Mao of the Chinese Communist Party. I still remember the text in which he told the story of the three Red Army, and whenever he talked about emotion, he burst into tears. When we were young, we had not experienced the storms of that era, and we could not produce emotional resonance, and some students secretly laughed at him under the desk and cried when they talked about a text. On that occasion, he severely criticized us and told us that because of the Communist Party and Chairman Mao, we have a happy life today, and we must cherish it and study it well. At that time, I was young and did not do anything more, and later I forgot a lot of things, but The patriotic education of Teacher Li in class was deeply imprinted in my mind and has never been forgotten.
Teacher Li is very good at discovering the strengths of students and giving timely praise and affirmation. Whether it is a student with good grades or a so-called poor student, he treats everyone equally. Once he finds the shining points in a student, he will praise him without hesitation, and subtly, a good atmosphere of upward mobility is formed in the class. I remember that at that time, I was noisier than boys, and I was criticized by many teachers and did not change my teaching. Once, Teacher Li found that one of my essays was well written, so he read a sample essay in the class, encouraged me to read more good books and write more good essays in the future, and then recommended me to participate in the school, school district, and county essay competition, and won a better ranking. This is how I changed with his patient help and encouragement, and opened the way to a bully from a scum who gave up on himself.
Teacher Li not only pays attention to the improvement of students' academic performance, but also pays attention to the all-round development of students' morality, intellectual, physical and aesthetic work. I remember that at that time, every new semester would carry out sports events such as radio drills, and every June 1st there would be students' cultural performances. What was very impressive was that in a June 1st literary and artistic performance, two boys in the senior grade performed a popular dance of polishing glass, and the atmosphere was unprecedentedly warm, as if the whole stage and the whole world were theirs. The two boys, one became a multi-talented people's teacher; the other formed a cultural and entertainment team of his own, became a propagandist of modern rural culture, and the last time he returned to his hometown, he also saw him hosting a show on stage, still full of passion and radiance.
Teacher Li is very friendly and friendly to the students, and is willing to listen to the students' voices and be friends in the hearts of the students. Although at that time he was in charge of the overall work of the school and had to teach our Language and other courses, but the students could directly reflect to President Li about anything, he would always stop his work, patiently listen to the students' demands, and help us solve various strange problems. I remember the last summer vacation of the sixth grade, a few of our classmates helped Teacher Li's family to engage in "double robbery". He hitched a ride on a two-eight-bar bicycle, and I sat in the front, and two male classmates sat in the back, giggling along the way, like a father carrying his children home.
In my mind, Mr. Li Weihan is such a good teacher who is also a teacher and a friend. Although he only taught me for three years, it had a huge positive impact during the critical period of my growth, and it can be said that without his timely and correct guidance, I may not have been able to follow me. After that, I had little contact for studying and working outside the country, and I didn't hear the bad news of his death until I returned to my hometown to work.
(More than 30 years later, once again back to the old house where Teacher Li lived, people have gone to the empty building, things are not people)
Although Teacher Li left us, his voice has always remained in my mind, and I have always remembered him.
