He was interested in the arts during his university years
Zhu Qi's family was a teacher for three generations, and at the age of 17, he applied for the Zhicheng College of Fuzhou University and filled in the science and engineering major.
According to Zhu Qi, a freshman from a small town in Yunnan, he learned that he could still study art through the art examination, so he decided to quit school to repeat the study, but his parents refused. He said, "I use all the ways I can think of to find the possibility between dreams and reality." ”
Zhu Qi said that later he joined 7 art clubs, also operated his own Internet radio, wrote his own public account, and was also elected as the male protagonist of the campus drama, going out to receive two hundred and one days of commercial performances. Two years later, Zhu Qi was elected president of the student union, the founder of the school film guild, signed the largest host team in Fujian, and also joined the Fujian branch of the pop talk show.
"I know that my abilities are far from enough to sustain what I want to do. I want to stop, I long to precipitate, I want to learn. So after the economic independence of his senior year, Zhu Qi chose to quit school, resigned, gave up everything in Fujian, and came to Beijing to choose the art examination.
Apply for the choreography and directing major
Zhu Qi recalled, "In 2018, on the fifth day of the Chinese New Year, on the day of the opening of the Chinese Opera School Examination, I came to Beijing for the first time. I crouched at the school gate with my suitcase in tow, and when I saw the smiling candidates coming out of the school, I went up and asked them where they were studying their majors and how to prepare for the exam. This was the first difficulty I encountered on the road to the art exam: my family, the environment in which I grew up, even my university and the working environment at that time, there were very few people who worked in art,and no one could give me opinions and suggestions. ”
When he first came into contact with the art examination, Zhu Qi once thought about applying for the acting major. The small partner who studied and prepared for the art exam together not only had a high appearance, but also was young and talented, and Zhu Qi once fell into inferiority. "Like and fit, it's really two different things." After that, Zhu Qi decided to switch to the choreography and directing profession.
"From August 4, 2018, when I went to Beijing to prepare for the art exam, to April 31, 2021, the day when the Shanghai Film Academy released my results, it was a full 1,000 days. Almost those 1,000 sunrises and sunsets were dedicated to Beijing, to the art examination, to the likes, to the things that I really wanted to do in my heart. If you think about it, you will still feel very happy and lucky. After all, I was born in a small town in the southwest, and three generations of my family were teachers, and I would not have had such an opportunity. After the college entrance examination, he wrote on Weibo.
Repeat for three years for your dream
Zhu Qi's art examination experience is really a bit of a twist and turn. In 2019, he entered the final examination of Nortel Radio and Television, and finally lost a few points without a certificate. In 2020, he was admitted to the final examination of nortel's directing department, and finally missed Nortel again due to the failure of the Wenchang examination.
In the second half of 2020, Zhu Qi rented a house in Beijing to prepare for the exam. He pasted the admission card of the Dream School on his desk to motivate himself to keep improving. Zhu Qi's Weibo homepage wrote: "The specialty is to force yourself into a desperate situation."
"The books I bought in the past six months are piled high in the rental house. I seem to have bought all the books I owed for the first 27 years of my life. In 2021, Zhu Qi took the art exam again and won the first place in the country at the Shanghai Film Academy. After the college entrance examination, he was interviewed by the media, and then his experience was understood by everyone, and he accidentally became popular on the Internet. In the video of the media interview, he and his sister walk out of the examination room together.
