Changdao is a county under the jurisdiction of Yantai City, Shandong Province, the only island county in Shandong Province, which is rich in scallops and is known as the hometown of Chinese scallops. Long Island has a vast sea area, excellent water quality in the surrounding sea, and the scallops produced are widely praised. Scallops and other aquaculture here have changed the lives of fishermen, a large part of scallop farmers, annual income of hundreds of thousands, migrant workers from other places, can also earn tens of thousands of yuan a year, small scallops, changed the fate of many people on Long Island.
no.2 Dalian Zhangzi Island
Zhangzidao is the largest Ezo scallop bottom-sown breeding area in China, which has long been identified as a national geographical indication product, and the protected areas are Zhangzi Island, DahuaDao, Xiaohuadao and QiaoqiaoDao in Changhai County. In 2009, Zhangzidao bottom-sown Ezo scallop production accounted for 78.15% of the national share! Unfortunately, the negative news of Zhangzidao scallops is now endless. In October 2014, Zhangzidao announced that millions of acres of Ezo scallops that were about to enter the harvest period were out of harvest. On the evening of January 30, 2018, Zhangzidao said that scallops in Zhangzidao Marine Ranch suffered a collective death due to a combination of reduced precipitation, a significant expansion of the scale of aquaculture and abnormal sea temperatures. The reason for this is still a mystery.
Of course, Dalian is still one of the best in the national scallop farming map, and the geographical protection scope of dalian scallop agricultural products is 6 districts, 3 county-level cities and 1 county in the administrative region of Dalian. Including: Zhongshan District, Xigang District, Shahekou District, Ganjingzi District, Jinzhou District, Lushunkou District, Pulandian City, Wafangdian City, Zhuanghe City and Changhai County.

Located at 37 ° north latitude in Weihai City, is a natural scallop farm, the sea here is fertile, rich in bait, meet the national water quality standards, water quality is pollution-free, the quality of the scallops produced is very good, and it is well known in China! On the consumer's table, Weihai scallops can often be seen. But for local scallop farmers, the small scallops bring them too much joy and worry. Good harvest, good market, farmers are happy, and when they can't sell at a price, it is more difficult for small workers to get wages.
