What is even happier is that with the athletes of the "shooting tide", they are no longer afraid, and the wild waves of the Qiantang River have invaded our crops. The shores of West Lake are paradises on earth, and propaganda says so.
But people are different, there is a difference between ancient and modern clouds and mud, and they cannot be compared. The west lake has been prosperous for a thousand years, and many emperors and generals have buried their bones here. And now, our people's heroes are just beginning to show their sharp edge.
Clay dolls occupy the mountains and rivers, and the corpses of demons and evil waters also stain the "half-face makeup" of this Xizi. Whoever stood with me, wielding the sword of heaven, swept away the absurdity of this earth.
The first half of Hu Qiaomu's poem mainly introduces the beautiful scenery on the edge of the West Lake. The West Lake is a scenic spot, and farmland is on both sides of the lake.

The "shooting tide" of "there is a shooting tide, not afraid of Lan Crazy" comes from a story of "Qian Wang Shooting Tide", which is from "Northern Dream Trivia".
Legend has it that in this part of Hangzhou, the tide of the Qiantang River often floods, flooding the farmland of the West Lake. The King of Wuyue, Qian Biao, once ordered people to shoot back the tide with a bow and arrow, so that the crops on both sides of the strait could grow vigorously.
This is a myth, the word "shooting tide" refers to the contemporary people through water conservancy projects, the West Lake to transform, the Qiantang River water can no longer harm the farmland.
At present, on the edge of the West Lake, it was originally very suitable for planting crops, but then, Hu Qiaomu mentioned a problem: the place where crops should have been planted has actually become a cemetery.
The second half of the word says: Everyone says that West Lake is a paradise on earth, but this paradise is relative. "How to compare the clouds and mud in the ancient world", which means that this "paradise" treats the ancients differently from the present.
If you don't believe it, the emperors and heroes in history died and could be buried here for a long time. And the hero of our Red Army has died, what to do?
The following is the focus, and the last few sentences are the parts that Chairman Mao helped Hu Qiaomu revise. Hu Qiaomu's original text reads, "Xizi is still dirty", "Whoever and I, roar the wind and the strange sword, extinguish the light of this life".
In the original text, Hu Qiaomu said that Xizi Lake seems to be polluted or defiled. This seems to be a little hesitant and not decisive enough.
Since the phenomenon of cemeteries in Xizi Lake has already been criticized in the previous article, it can be written with a clear attitude later, so Chairman Mao changed it to "Xizi Shame" for him.
And the three sentences of "whoever roars with me, roars the wind and the strange sword, and extinguishes the light of this life" are not only useless, but also appear to be semantically vague, and are inconsistent with the words, so Chairman Mao directly changed it to "who shares me, dances on the heavenly sword, and sweeps away this absurdity."

Even if a hero like Yue Fei, who is loyal to the country, is buried here, why do some feudal emperors in ancient times, as well as famous tricks like Su Xiaoxiao, also want to join in the fun? This is very uncomfortable.
In his opinion, in addition to heroic figures such as Yue Fei, the others are just some mud dolls, and some are simply feudal remnants. Is it appropriate to offer them up and also to the beautiful West Lake, and turn a good scenic spot into a cemetery?
In fact, this view was not put forward by Hu Qiaomu alone. Because in 1956, after the sociologist Fei Xiaotong visited the West Lake, he published an article in the People's Daily entitled "For the West Lake".
Fei Xiaotong mentioned in the article, "West Lake was originally a large cemetery, and this cemetery is still of uniform specifications, all of which are 'earth steamed buns'", which also affects the beauty!
After Fei Xiaotong's article was published, it caused some discussion in society. Although Chairman Mao agreed with his views, his ideological starting point was different.
Later, the local people in West Lake ran to demolish some old graves. However, when it was demolished, it was a bit indiscriminate, and the graves of qiu Jin and Xu Xilin were actually demolished.
After some people from the democratic parties knew about it, they called and told Premier Zhou. Premier Zhou thought it was very inappropriate, so he stopped them and restored the demolished graves. After the matter was temporarily settled, the problem was not resolved.
Because everyone is still arguing about whether to make such a beautiful West Lake into an ancient cemetery. If the graves are to be relocated, who should be removed and who should be retained? These are debatable.
In 1963, Hu Qiaomu, who was recuperating at home, thought of this problem, so he wrote it into the words and habitually handed it over to Chairman Mao to revise for him.
In the year the poem was published, 30 tombs near west lake were demolished. By March of the following year, a total of 55 arches and 654 ancient tombs had been demolished in Hangzhou.
