Through a meticulous search with the train staff one car at a time, the passenger was quickly found. In the face of the shortage of protective materials and insufficient understanding of the spread of the epidemic in the early stage of the epidemic, in order to minimize the contact range of passengers from high-risk areas, Zhang Minghao took the initiative to undertake the work of caring for passengers. Police masks and disposable rubber gloves are his entire protective equipment. During the whole train operation, he guarded the passengers in a separate carriage, checked the temperature of the passengers every half an hour, and properly handed over the passengers to the local epidemic prevention department after the train arrived at the terminal station.

In mid-May 2021, he was on his way to work on the subway when he encountered a passenger who behaved abnormally in the carriage. Only to see the person get into the car and take out a bottle of liquid and spray it around himself, saying to himself "to disinfect, to disinfect", and then took out a fruit knife from his body and compared: "Look, I have a knife." Out of the instinct of the police profession, when Zhang Minghao was preparing to go forward to grab the knife to stop it, the person put the knife into his carry-on luggage and whispered: "I have a knife and a gun in my bag..." In order not to stimulate the person to commit excessive behavior, he quickly contacted the police at the subway station to identify himself as a policeman, explaining the situation at the scene, the location of the carriage where the person was located, and his physical characteristics. After the contact is completed, he secretly guards the person's side, uses his body to block in front of other passengers, and is ready to deal with the emergency at any time. In the end, the person was promptly controlled by the police who rushed to the subway platform during the subway stop.
