Divination, also known as divination and fortune telling, is one of the main ways to predict the development trend of important things in ancient China. The earliest divination in China can be traced back to the Fuxi painting. At first, it was based on the words of the I Ching, using the texture produced by the shell of the grilled turtle to speculate on the trend of things, and later developed to the use of yarrow, and by the early years of the Zhou Dynasty, the Zhou Yi was formed. At that time, people believed that there were turtles and snakes under the yarrow, which could communicate with heaven and earth and be more spiritual. It is also believed that the turtle is long and short, that is, the prediction with the shell of the grilled turtle is more accurate than the prediction with the yarrow. Because the shell of the grilled turtle is difficult to grasp and analyze, it has been slowly lost.
The "Zuo Zhuan" records the history of more than two hundred years in the Spring and Autumn Period, and it is naturally indispensable to divination.
In 706 BC, when Duke Lu zhuang (姬同) was born, his father Lu Huan gong named his son and mentioned the matter of asking the divinator to choose a "Jiren" to hold the child. In the eleventh year of the Duke of Lu Huan, the Chu state and the fallen state fought, and the Chu general Dou Lian proposed to Sima Qu to launch an attack, and Qu Was timid and wanted to predict the outcome. Dou Lian believes that divination is only when he hesitates. Since the Chu army had absolute superiority, why divination? As a result, without divination, the battle was won.
The Zuo Zhuan first recorded specific divination in the twenty-second year of the Duke of Luzhuang (672 BC). When Chen Ligong's son Jingzhong was young, Cheng zhou's Taishi went to see Chen Ligong. Chen Ligong asked him to use the Zhou Yi for Jingzhong divination, and the result of the divination was that the Guan Gua became the No Gua Gua. "Guan" gua is the original gua, and "No" gua is the gua. The Guan Gua Gua xiang is the wind (Sundanese) on the ground (kun), which means to observe and learn and look for opportunities. "No" gua gua is like heaven (dry) up to the earth (kun) down, up and down is not intersected. The inner gua of the ben gua and the gua are all earth (kun), the guan gua is the wind (sundanese), and the "no" is the heaven (dry). The Guan Guan Gua Liu Si Yao is a moving one, and the outer gua changes from wind (Sunda) to heaven (dry), which becomes the "No" gua. According to the traditional saying of the I Ching, a change of a change is based on the original gua change of the word. The words of the Guan Liu Si Yao are "the light of the guanguo, using the king." Zhou Taishi said accordingly: "Jingzhong will enjoy the country! But not here in Chen Guo, but in other countries; not in Jing Zhong, but in his descendants. Because the 'light' shines from another place, it is said that 'another country is visited'. There are many gifts on display in the court, and there are also bundles of jade bi, and the beautiful things in heaven and earth are available, so it is said that 'it is conducive to being a guest of the king'. There are still many people waiting to watch, so it is said that his prosperity is not in himself, but in his descendants! The wind rises in the sky and travels on the earth, which is the mountain. With the products of the mountains and the illumination of the sky, he can live on the land, and the wind will eventually fall on the land, so his prosperity is not in his own country but in other countries! If it is in another country, it must be a country with the surname of Jiang. Jiang is a descendant of Taiyue. The height of the mountains can match the sky. But things can't be as big as the two, the Chen kingdom is declining, the Jiang surname is rising, and this family can prosper! By the time the State of Chen was first occupied, Jingzhong's descendant Chen Huanzi had gained a powerful power in the State of Qi; later the State of Chen was destroyed by the State of Chu, and his descendant Chen Chengzi seized the throne of the State of Qi. This is the famous event in history - Tian Qi Dai Jiang.
