Yesterday afternoon, the three-day Sixth China-Korea Youth Dream Micro Film Exhibition was closed, and the awards of five competition units and three non-competition units were selected one by one. In the end, Zhao Lu's work "Dog Life", a 2016 master's student in the Photography Department of beijing film academy, won the highest award, the Jury Member Award.
The event is a public welfare project dedicated to excavating and cultivating young film creators and promoting sino-Korean film and television cultural exchanges, and has been successfully held for five sessions so far. Since it was held in 2014, it has received the active participation of a large number of young Chinese and Korean filmmakers, with the help of many well-known directors and stars.
This year's micro-film exhibition not only invited Lee Sang-geun, who won the Newcomer Director Award at the 40th Korea Blue Dragon Film Awards, Wu Shengxu, a Korean director who won the "Script Award" of the Daejong Award Film Festival with "August Photo Gallery", and Zhao Tianyu, a Chinese director who directed "A Little Smile is Falling Down", as judges, but also specially invited Kim Dong-hu, former executive chairman of the Busan International Film Festival, to help.
It is reported that this year's micro-film exhibition received a total of 709 works, setting a record high, and finally 20 works were shortlisted and participated in the exhibition.
Zhao Lu's work "Dog Life" tells the story of a widow who makes money by any means every day, but the child who is in adolescence is muddy, until one day, when he sees his mother slumped on the road, he realizes that every banknote he squanders has the dignity of his mother. After receiving the trophy, Zhao Lu said that she had participated in the film exhibition last year, but did not win the award, this time the award, she was very surprised, she hopes to tell the audience through "Dog Life", "There are some people in life who are constantly fighting against their fate."
Judge Wu Shengxu told reporters that although "Dog Life" is a short film, the director told a very shocking story in a short period of time, touching people's hearts, and the film's photography and lighting are very mature, especially the last shot, which is rich in meaning and has been unanimously affirmed by the judges.
Another judge, Lee Sang-geun, said that there is no necessary connection between the shooting of short films and the creation of future feature films, but through the activities of this micro-film exhibition, young directors can see the gap between their peers and get guidance from famous directors, which is very meaningful for future creation.
It is understood that after the end of this micro-film exhibition, there will be a week-long Korean training activity. At that time, the organizer will lead all the winning directors of the competition unit to visit film production companies in Korea, visit the film shooting site, and conduct face-to-face exchanges with well-known directors in South Korea.
