Actor Joseph Fiennes from dramas such as "Holy City" and "American Horror Story" has confirmed that he will become the male lead of Hulu's new online streaming drama "Handmaid's Tale", and will play against actress Elisabeth Moss from "Mad Men".
Based on Margaret Atwood's best-selling novel of the same name, the show revolves around the story of the maidoffred, played by Elisabeth Moss, who survives in a gilead country where men dominate absolutely and practice totalitarianism. Actress Samira Wiley from "Women's Prison" plays Moira, a best friend of offred's college days, who also trained as a maid at the "Red Center." Joseph Fiennes plays the male protagonist cmdr. Fred Waterford, the "founding father" of Gilead, wielded supreme power.
