Elizabeth Moss, the heroine of "The Handmaid's Tale", is currently in talks with Universal and may join the new version of "The Invisible Man", according to foreign media deadline and variety reports, negotiations are still in the initial stages. The film will be self-written and directed by The Upgrade's director, Ray Werner, and Johnny Depp will no longer be in The Invisible Man after saying goodbye to the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Werner is also one of the film's producers, having previously worked with Blumhouse Pictures, which produced the film, on films including Lurking 4: The Dead (as a screenwriter) and Upgrade. The plot of the film is still unknown, but if it can be smoothly advanced, it means that Universal's "monster movie" has finally made new progress.

Universal's "Dark Universe" opening work "The New Mummy", starring Tom Cruise, cost $125 million in production costs, in exchange for $409 million (data from imdb) the global box office is very unsatisfactory. Universal's new strategy is not to create a linked "dark universe" as originally planned, but to invite creative and distinctive directors to recreate these classic characters. Universal is also now reconsidering how to get the latest generation of viewers to still be enthusiastic about the different versions of the same characters after seeing them.

Moss's new films include Universal's We, a new horror film directed by Jordan Peel (Breaking Bad), in which Lupita Nyonio and Winston Duke also starred. Later, Moss will also appear in the rock drama "Her Smell", and the new line "Hell's Kitchen" in which she starred will also meet the audience this summer. On the small screen, Moss will return to the third season of the Emmy Award-winning "The Handmaid's Tale," which premiered this summer.
