Yu Hong, a teacher at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, was born in 1966, entered the Affiliated Middle School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1980, entered the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1988, and graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1995 to read a master's degree. He currently teaches in the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
Yu Hong is certainly not the kind of enthusiastic painter, not the kind of artist who pursues form and creates effects.
She is fully conscious of this: "I lived in the crowd and found many touching and indescribable things, these are stories about the sensitivity, fragility, dignity, diaphragm, helplessness, sincerity and love of human nature... Everyone was driven by it, and all kinds of stories happened in life. They became the subject of my work. ”
She is more eager to express her inner helplessness, blindness and doubt. She began to paint the girlfriends around her, painting their youthful excitement and juvenile madness.
These portraits combine intense colors, inexplicable emotions, and strange spaces.
Through the change from heads-up to upward view, the relationship between the viewer and the painting and the artist is changed. She wants the viewer to look up, and the contrast between the figures looking down on the viewer can "regain the glory of painting in the past era."
