Yu Hong, born in 1966, is a native of Beijing. He entered the Affiliated High School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1980 and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1988. In 1994, he studied for a master's degree. He currently teaches in the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
