Painter Yu Hong
As an oil painting artist, Yu Hong admits that the most popular new media or images now, because of the rapid development of modern science and technology, make many things possible, which is also an inevitable trend, people like to see things that move, people also have to look at things that will not move, if everything in the home moves, then people will also collapse.
The biggest feature of painting is that people have to read and watch repeatedly, and every time they look at it, there is a new harvest, which is one of its characteristics, which is also the most difficult part of artistic creation, so that people feel that there is something new every time they look at it. Yu Hong's new works are more focused on some paintings with storytelling and plot, such as adding some traditional Chinese stories to the paintings, such as "Carving a Boat and Seeking a Sword" and "Blind Man Touching an Elephant". She said that she had always wanted to paint interesting stories of ancient China, but often needed some opportunities to draw these things.

She said that she had always wanted to paint interesting stories of ancient China, but often needed some opportunities to draw these things. One of the reasons for creating "Garden Dreams" is to hold this exhibition, and another reason is to go out with a friend to shoot last year, and a friend proposed to go to a small park on the outskirts of Beijing, which has a lot of water, pavilions, and many traditional Chinese garden buildings, which are made of cement for the surrounding people to rest and use, the whole yard is overgrown with grass, as if it is in an abandoned state, but on the day of shooting, the sun was shining, and the wild grass and water had a different flavor in the garden. She immediately felt that using the current scene of this garden could string together many stories, so it was like a garden dream, when walking in a space, she would encounter many unexpected people and things. In reality, there are goldfish or other creatures in the big basin, in the painting, the big basin is painted with several children by Yu Hong, a bit like the Hundred Zitu that appears in traditional Chinese paintings, among which there is also a small Syrian refugee who died on the beach that was once popular on the Internet, yu Hong said when he mentioned him: Very cute child.

"Waiting for the Rabbit" This painting was created in the spring of 2016, when the spring was budding, she took a lot of photos of the spring scenery, the willow that fluttered with the wind, the poplar tree that grew green at the beginning of the tender green, the kind of particularly tender and light green that just sprouted, there was a feeling of intoxication, these are the willows in the painting, when she went to take pictures, she happened to encounter a lot of traffic lights, so it was also reflected in the painting, just at that time there was a scene where the willow tree was on the signal light, and she went to find a picture of the signal light, Set up a directional direction that looked a little complicated and strange, which made her feel very interesting.
In the painting "Earthly World", in the haze, the two sides of the cliff are connected by the soft body of a girl, and the girl is looking into the distance. She mentioned that when her daughter was a child, she accompanied her daughter to gymnastics class, and saw the coach open his crotch and lower back in order to train the children, torturing the children's bodies, which made her deeply understand, she felt that it was a very cruel thing. But by extension, she said: "Each of us is consciously or unconsciously changing ourselves to adapt ourselves to a certain expectation of society, not just gymnastics, which is actually just an inevitable relationship between people and society." ”
The work "Hundred Feet pole head" constructs a world where reality and surreality are not contradictory, and three different groups of characters occupy different positions on the same pole, juxtaposed in the form of vertical triptych, conveying the surreal structure and state with realistic appearances. For the first time, the work "Snapshot" takes animals as the main object of depiction and has a human form and temperament - posing or taking pictures, Yu Hong strips the human image farther away, but it is closer to the "garden dream" she created.

Based on two paintings by artist Rousseau, "Living Up to the Spring" depicts a dreamlike scene in which the two heroines are the current Internet celebrity images. "Rousseau is also a painter I like very much, his paintings are very clumsy, very brave, really how to paint as much as I want. So I created "Not Living Up to the Spring Light" based on the basic structure of his two paintings. Yu Hong said, "There are also some works based on traditional paintings, such as "Ophelia" is based on shakespeare's characters, and there are many works about Ophelia in British paintings. ”
Yu Hong said that what she hopes to be able to draw is what psychological time and space and real time and space are intertwined, which is the real state in a sense. "I can only try to get close to the truth, but I can't define the truth," she said. When we touch a reality, it is likely that the thing will not exist the next day, and it may well become another form, and this thing will cause us to confuse the world. ”
"The bigger the painting, the greater the content and structure required. Just as you write a short story and a long story are completely different, although there may be long stories that develop from a short story, the structure, clues, and framing ability are completely different. So painting big is a challenge. Because I can still climb the ladder now, I want to draw some big paintings when I can climb, and then I can't climb in a few years, and I will definitely get smaller and smaller in the future. Yu Hong said. Yu Hong is a rare female artist who has shown her talent and fame early. When she was still in her freshman year, 18-year-old Yu Hong was published on the cover of art textbooks in colleges and universities across the country with her sketch study "David", and was recognized as "the most David statue in the history of the Central Academy of Fine Arts". It is said that Xu Bing's "David" was painted by him in a winter vacation, when the old dean Mr. Jin Shangyi went to the studio to see it for a long time without making a sound, and later it was reported that the old dean Jin Shangyi Jin commented that Xu Bing's "David" was the best one painted since the establishment of the CAFA Academy, becoming a model for CAFA students to study at that time. But only a year later, Yu Hong's "David" was born, when Yu Hong was only 18 years old, and that David was Yu Hong's first sketch homework in the first grade of Yangmei, and it took 4 weeks to draw. This sketch was evaluated as having the pedigree and spirit of Renaissance sketching, comprehensively surpassing Xu Bing's, replacing Xu Bing's "David" as the first in CAAM, and CAFA did not give birth to its "David" for more than 20 years.

Yu Hong believes that painting is actually very rational, and if you want to achieve a state of explosion, you don't necessarily have to punch and kick, first of all, there are a lot of technical things to fulfill. It may be good after the painting, but after the next day, where do you feel that it is not OK, re-draw, over and over again. I was very happy at the end of the painting. On the contrary, it is very tiring in the middle. At the beginning of painting, of course, it is very pleasant to paint on a white cloth, and when the painting reaches the middle, it is a bit like a craftsman making a necklace, and it is very bitter to connect one ring after another, but it is very happy to wait until it is connected. Each new technology will have an impact on painting, painting is constantly stripped of those parts that can be replaced by technology, and finally more and more core things can only be done by people, only things that need to be done by hand, that is a painterly work. Now every time Yu Hong creates, she has to draw a sketch on the draft book, and finally determine the color draft.
Yu Hong usually takes photos. She found the roadside utility poles particularly interesting, and these complex structures were particularly beautiful. The pole we imagine is a pole with some horizontal pulling lines on it, in fact, the pole is like a person, in different years and at different times, there are different looks. The poles of a few decades ago were made of wood, and now they are all cement, and the Internet is posted outside to prevent small advertisements, which are all witnesses to social life.
These life props can reflect the changes of the times and life, which is very interesting, and she often shoots these things. Another source of inspiration is to collect images from the Internet. She said: "The scope of my personal vision is limited, it is impossible to see all the people or scenes, the Internet will help me see what I have not seen, many people put randomly photographed life scenes on the Internet, it is very interesting, his angle may be different from mine, there are certain hints for me." ”
Yu Hong said: "I am actually a very simple person, the experience is also very simple, the whole life is so calm, day by day. Our time is like this, there is no turmoil and no war, but many people do not believe in life itself as it really is, and always like some vain, manneristic, and even virtual life. I think that washing away the lead and not being alarmed is a very quiet force. ”

It is this quiet power that makes Yu Hong live in harmony with reality and art. Yu Hong is not only an artist, but also a life home, a person who controls life without being dragged down by it, and a person who gets close to the essence of life and art from daily life. Chen Danqing commented on Yu Hong: "At the earliest, I found that her heart was very turbulent, and it was easy to make a disturbance when she was young, and I did not expect that after more than ten years, she would still draw such a thing. "Mother said that Yu Hong has been open-minded and pure and selfless since childhood. Open-mindedness is Yu Hong's first magic weapon, which is not from the world, but from insight.
Yu Hong's experience is very enviable in the eyes of the world: born generous, able to do what he likes, and has achieved little, can join hands with his lover, and eventually become a family. Such a woman is proud in reality, but she is not proud of it, but it touches her to touch the ordinary women around her. - This article is from: Art and Design
