The opening ceremony of the conference held on the morning of the 12th was presided over by Professor Wang Yujie, Vice Dean of the School of Philosophy of Chinese Min University. Zheng Shuiquan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Chinese University, Professor Gerald Harris, Secretary of the North American Association for Global Studies, Professor Wei Xiaoping, Vice President of the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Chinese Ma Zhe History Society, Professor Marek Hrubec, Director of the Globalization Research Center of the Department of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and Professor Hao Lixin, Dean of the School of Philosophy of Chinese University and President of the Chinese Ma Zhe History Society, delivered speeches and extended a warm welcome to the representatives of the participants.

After the opening ceremony of the conference, the conference entered the first thematic discussion, which wei Xiaoping presided over, and the theme of the discussion was "China's Road to Globalization". First of all, Professor Jin Canrong of the School of International Relations of Chinese University gave a speech entitled "How to Understand the Great Changes That Have Not Occurred in a Hundred Years". He interpreted and explored the judgment of General Secretary Xi Jinping that "the great change has not occurred in a hundred years", and put forward his understanding of the future path of globalization based on this thesis. Jin Canrong said that the biggest problem encountered by the world at present is the global governance deficit problem, that is, the imbalance caused by the rise in governance demand and the lack of governance capacity. General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the judgment of "the greatest change in a hundred years", of which the "change" is mainly reflected in four aspects: "new international pattern", "new modernization model", "new industrialization process" and "new governance issues".

Gerald Harris explains the deep meaning of the sino-US relationship from a vertical historical perspective and a horizontal global perspective, respectively. Professor Peterson Nnajiofor of the University of Lorraine in France elaborated on China's important role in pushing globalization to a new stage by comparing the differences between Western countries and China's investment and aid models in Africa. Marek Hrubec elaborated on the development trend of multicentric modernization, and he believes that the revival of Chinese civilization is an important cultural resource on the path of socialist globalization with Chinese characteristics.

The second and third panel discussions of the conference, both on the theme of "Local Issues in the Context of Globalization", were moderated by Marek Hrubec and Professor Luo Qian of the School of Philosophy of Chinese University. In the second panel discussion, James Mcdougall of Sichuan University, through the analysis of literary works represented by novels in the late Qing Dynasty, showed the living conditions of Chinese overseas in the late Qing Dynasty, as well as the main manifestations and problems of American nativism in the process of globalization. Dr John Williams of the University of North Texas teases the origins and current status of Brexit, pointing out the need to pay attention to counter-terrorism, populism, capital and market issues in the process of globalization. Sabine Dreher from Glenden College at the University of York uses Turkey as a case study to illustrate the religious origins of neoliberalism and provides an in-depth analysis of how religion, capital and geopolitics interact with each other in the context of globalization. Professor Zang Fengyu of Chinese University, entitled "The Epoch Connotation of the Idea of a Community of Human Destiny", analyzed the connotation of the era of the community of human destiny and the Chinese road of globalization through the elaboration of Marx's idea of the community of man and the interpretation of traditional Chinese culture.

In the third thematic discussion, Hao Lixin delivered a speech entitled "Globalization and Its Challenges: The Choice of China's Development Path", in which Hao Lixin analyzed the internal contradictions of the two levels of economic globalization from the marxist theory, and expounded China's position and choice in the challenge of globalization on this basis. Hao Lixin believes that from the perspective of Marxism, globalization is the process of capitalist expansion, so there are two deep contradictions in economic globalization, that is, the contradictions of capitalism itself and the new contradictions that extend from it, such as the contradiction between the centralized economy and the independent economy, and the contradiction between the developed and developing countries in the West. He said that economic globalization is a double-edged sword and has profoundly affected the world, and the contradictions in the choice of values of various countries are the direct embodiment of this influence. In the process of globalization, countries are faced with various choices in terms of economic and cultural values. The development path chosen by China does not copy the experience of other countries or promotes cultural hegemonism, but selectively introduces the advanced experience of other countries and adheres to independence and self-determination in combination with its own national conditions.

Subsequently, Dr. John Bosco Ngendakurio from Griffith University in Australia used Kenya as a case study to show the impact of globalization on the development of East Africa, pointing out that in the process of economic globalization, Western investment models have made local people economic outsiders despite bringing benefits to the local area. Therefore, he called for Africa's development to learn more from the Chinese model. Professor Karin Fischer of Johannes Kepler University in Austria used the land liberation movements of Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia as examples to analyze the different paths and choices of Latin American countries in social movements and reforms. Professor Milan Kreuzzieger of the Czech Academy of Sciences explores the integration of Eurasia and the development trend of geopolitics in globalization from the perspective of Eurasian history, the issue of modernity and the future development path.

Subsequently, Professor Alexander Kuteynikov of St. Petersburg State University in Russia delivered a speech entitled "Future International System in the Multipolar International Order", in which he mentioned that the structure of the international community has continued to develop in the process of globalization, but the reform of the system and operating logic of international institutions has not kept pace with the changes of the times, and the new global governance requires the establishment of a new mechanism of international institutions across nationalities and countries. Proceeding from the problems of the differentiation between the rich and the poor brought about by transnational capital and international trade disputes, Wei Xiaoping took Marxist philosophy as the foundation and conducted a profound philosophical reflection on the prospects for future global development.

He Cuixiang, associate researcher of the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, presided over the fifth panel discussion of the conference. Professor Abu Bakarr Bah from Northern Illinois University in the United States analyzed the historical roots of populism and the current series of crises in the United States, and he advocated that the development path of globalization should focus on social justice, environmental issues and human development. Professor Darren J. O'Byrne from the University of Roehampton in the UK shows the different forms of existence that capitalism has taken on since its inception. He pointed out that the new culture of personalization formed by the personalization of technology reflects a series of contradictions in current capitalism. Subsequently, Professor Yao Xinzhong of Chinese Min University analyzed the nature and historical form of globalization from the perspective of ethics, and he emphasized that globalization is not only the globalization of the economy, but also the globalization of cultural values, and we should pay more attention to the globalization of cultural values. Professor Xie Fusheng of Chinese Min University expounded the essence and five basic characteristics of contemporary imperialism from the theory of Marxist political economy.

On the afternoon of the 13th, Dr. Teng Fei of Chinese Min University presided over the sixth panel discussion entitled "Philosophical Reflections on the Development Path of Globalization". Professor Rafal Soborski, from the American International University in Richmond, UK, whose speech was entitled "The Ideology of Globalization and the Future", argued that in response to the current new trends and new problems in the world, we need to re-examine the philosophical concept of ideology from a linguistic point of view. Professor Zhang Xiao of Chinese Min University made a profound philosophical exposition on the idea of building a community with a shared future for mankind, and emphasized in the discussion session that in order to achieve the mutual integration of cultures, abstract values should be combined with our specific cultural carriers. In his speech, Professor David Bartosch from the University of Foreign Chinese in Beijing reviewed the influence and contribution of Chinese culture to the world since the Silk Road, and he argued that the future development process of the human world must be rooted in a moral foundation. Finally, Bi Furong, a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, elaborated on her thoughts on the development of globalization in her keynote speech.
