Shen Anna, the "spy war rose" embedded in Chiang Kai-shek's "heart"

In November 1942, the Kuomintang held the Tenth Plenary Session of the Fifth Central Committee in Chongqing. Zhang Ji, a Kuomintang elder sitting in the first row of the venue, lamented: "When I mention the Communist Party, I sweat. Suddenly, he stood up and angrily turned to Chiang Kai-shek: "The Communist Party is by your side, you don't know it yet!" After listening to Zhang Ji's words, Chiang Kai-shek was so angry that he whisked his sleeves away, and before leaving, he said to Zhang Ji: "You, you... Elder of the Party State, you... How can you say it casually! ”

And on the shorthand table at the venue, there was a female speedman who listened to the conversation between Zhang Ji and Chiang Kai-shek and was shocked in her heart, but she quickly calmed down, she was Shen Anna, the "war rose" embedded in Chiang Kai-shek's "heart" by our party.

1. Embarked on the revolutionary road under the influence of his sister

Shen Anna

Shen Anna was born in 1915 in Taixing, Jiangsu Province (present-day Taizhou) on a scholarly site. Shen Anna has been smart and clever since childhood, she can read and write at the age of 3, and under the guidance of her father, she not only writes well, but also writes fast.

In 1934, the family fell in the middle of the road, and after the 19-year-old Shen Anna finished her sophomore year of high school, she was forced to drop out of school because she had no money to pay tuition. Shen Anna has an older sister named Shen Yina, and Shen Yina and her husband Shu Yuexin are both underground members of the Ccp. Under the influence of her sister, Shen Anna also understood a lot of revolutionary principles.

Shen Yina thought that her sister was beautiful, smart and capable, and fast at writing, so she introduced Shen Anna to a Shanghai Bingxun shorthand school with low fees and short semesters.

In the winter of 1934, the Kuomintang Zhejiang provincial government wanted to recruit a stenographer, and the school recommended Shen Anna, who had excellent academic performance, to take the exam. Shen Anna told this news to her brother-in-law Shu Yuexin. Shu Yuexin immediately reported the incident to his superior, Wang Xuewen. Wang Xuewen, the leader of the Central Special Branch, hopes that Shen Anna can take on this work. After the examination, in early 1935, Shen Anna was officially admitted as a stenographer in the deliberation section of the Secretariat of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, and gained a firm foothold in the Zhejiang Provincial Government with a recording speed of more than 100 words per minute and a good hand. At this time, Shen Anna, under the influence of her sister and brother-in-law, secretly joined the Chinese Communist Party and officially began her combat career as a secret intelligence officer of the Ccp.

2. In the transmission of information, the flower of love quietly opens

Soon, Shen Anna received a letter from her sister Shen Yina, saying that she wanted Shen Anna to return to Shanghai to help organize her wedding. Shen Anna made a request to the Zhejiang provincial government to go to Shanghai to attend her sister's wedding, and after obtaining approval, she secretly packed some of the provincial government's meeting documents and records into a small suitcase and brought them to Shanghai.

This was shen anna's first time to collect intelligence, did not think about how much danger it would be, when the sister looked at the documents brought by Shen Anna, she was surprised and happy, accusing her of being too rash, in case the box was found by the enemy, the consequences would be unimaginable. The brother-in-law Shu Yuexin carefully went through the intelligence materials brought by Shen Anna and reported the information brought by Shen Anna to the superior leader Wang Xuewen. Wang Xuewen looked at the situation and said, "Not bad! Among them, the military intelligence involving xuan tiewu, the head of the security department, "clearing and suppressing" the Red Army guerrillas in the Anhui-Zhejiang-Gansu Border Region and the southern Zhejiang region is very important, and it is too good. The first time Shen Anna collected intelligence, it was a hit, and it was really not easy. ”

After this incident, the superior leaders also deeply realized that if Shen Anna's nail was firmly nailed to the heart of the enemy, it was necessary to ensure Shen Anna's safety. Shen Anna collected intelligence herself, and she had to pass it on to Shanghai, not only was she too busy to come, but it was easier to expose flaws and be discovered by the enemy. Therefore, after studying the shanghai underground party organization Wang Xuewen and Shu Yuexin, they decided to send Hua Mingzhi to Hangzhou to take charge of collecting intelligence during the routine rest of the international radio station.

Shen Anna is no stranger to Hua Mingzhi, shen anna and Hua Mingzhi and brother-in-law Shu Yuexin are both students of Nanyang Commercial Senior High School. At this time, Hua Mingzhi was working as a salesman at the International Radio Station of the Ministry of Communications of the Kuomintang government, secretly collecting information about the Long March of the Red Army from news messages from foreign news agencies, and using his work to pass on the information to the underground organizations in Shanghai.

After receiving the task of the superior organization, Hua Mingzhi came to Hangzhou, found an errand at the Zhejiang-Gansu Railway Bureau, secretly took the intelligence collected by Shen Anna, and took advantage of the convenience of train transportation to send the information to the Shanghai underground organization. Hua Mingzhi and Shen Anna sometimes meet in the tea room, and there are fashionable couples who meet at west lake. In the eyes of others, Hua Mingzhi, who is a table of talents, is pursuing a gentle and beautiful Shen Anna. After many contacts, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi really fell in love, and with the approval of their superiors, the two held a wedding in Shanghai in 1935.

3. Approached Zhu Jiahua and became a special member of the Kuomintang

Chiang Kai-shek was a lonely man by nature and had a strong sense of localism, he attached great importance to the management of Zhejiang, and in order to cultivate his own cronies, in December 1936, he transferred his concubine Zhu Jiahua to Zhejiang Province as the chairman of the government. After Zhu Jiahua took office, all the former members of the Zhejiang Provincial Government were dissolved, and only Shen Anna was a decent person with skillful business, and soon won zhu Jiahua's trust.

In 1937, japan invaded China in an all-round way, and Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi withdrew west with the Zhejiang Provincial Government, losing contact with the Shanghai underground organization. In order to get in touch with the party as soon as possible, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi discussed and let Hua Mingzhi stay in the Zhejiang Gansu Railway Bureau for the time being, and took a salary to maintain the lives of the two. Shen Anna, under the recommendation of Hua Mingzhi's introduction to the party, went to Wuhan and found the eighth route army office in Wuhan. Dong Biwu said to her, "Didn't you work under Zhu Jiahua in the past?" Now that Zhu Jiahua is the secretary general of the Kuomintang Central Party Department, you can use your old connections to find him and ask him to work in the Central Party Department, so that you can break into the core organs of the Kuomintang and continue to collect intelligence for our Party. Zhou Enlai also instructed Shen Anna: "In the core work of the Kuomintang, we must pay attention to concealment, both bold and cautious. ”

Wuhan Office of the Eighth Route Army: After the July 7 Incident, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China sent Dong Biwu to Wuhan to prepare for the Wuhan Office of the Eighth Route Army, initially setting up No. 1 Anrenli in Hankou and later moving to No. 57 Changchun Street in Hankou. This is an open office established by the Chinese Communist Party in areas ruled by the Kuomintang. In December 1937, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to establish the Yangtze River Bureau in Wuhan, and the organ was secretly located in the Wuhan office of the Eighth Route Army, where Zhou Enlai, Dong Biwu, Qin Bangxian, Ye Jianying, Deng Yingchao, Wang Ming and other CCP leaders had worked. ----- references are from the Headlines Encyclopedia

Therefore, Shen Anna went to the Party Department of the Kuomintang Central Committee to find Zhu Jiahua and said to Zhu Jiahua: "I came to Wuhan with all my hardships, asked the chairman to arrange my work, and I want to serve the party and the state!" Zhu Jiahua said, "This is easy. The Central Party Department is short of shorthand reporters, but to work in the Central Party Department, you must be a member of the Kuomintang, are you a party member? Shen Anna thought of Dong Biwu and Zhou Enlai's request for her to break into the core of the Kuomintang, and said without hesitation: "When I was young in Zhejiang, I did not join the Kuomintang, can I join now?" ”

Therefore, Zhu Jiahua asked his subordinates to immediately handle the matter of joining the party for Shen Anna. After the introduction of the three members of the Kuomintang Central Committee, Shen Anna's party membership card was quickly processed, and there was a "special" word in front of the party card number, which was considered to have a backstage and a head within the Kuomintang.

4. Broke into the Kuomintang and became Song Meiling's stenographer

In August 1938, wuhan was defeated, the Kuomintang organs moved to Chongqing, Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi followed Dong Biwu's instructions and continued to lurk, and went to Chongqing with the Kuomintang party and government organs. In Chongqing, Shen Anna officially entered the confidential office of the Party Secretariat of the Kuomintang Central Committee and became a shorthand name. Because Shen Anna was arranged by Zhu Jiahua to work in the Party Department of the Central Committee, coupled with her skillful work and humility, she won the trust and respect of all the confidential departments from top to bottom, and immediately served as a stenographer for important meetings such as members of the Standing Committee of the Kuomintang Central Committee.

Since then, as long as the Kuomintang held an important meeting, Shen Anna became the best candidate for the shorthand of the meeting. Shen Anna wrote down the contents of the meeting and handed it to Hua Mingzhi. After Hua Mingzhi sorted out and wrote it secretly, it was handed over to Xu Zhonghang, who was sent by the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and then reported to Yan'an. For four years, Shen Anna continuously transmitted important information from the Kuomintang, and finally delivered it to Zhou Enlai and other leaders of the Southern Bureau. In particular, in 1938, Shen Anna secretly reported the "Measures for Preventing and Controlling Activities of Other Parties" discussed and adopted by the Fifth Plenary Session of the Fifth Central Committee of the Kuomintang to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Party Central Committee compiled it into the pamphlet "Where Friction Comes From" and published it, which had an important impact on the people of the whole country.

In 1942, Sun Fu rebelled, and Xu Zhonghang, who was sent from the Southern Bureau to lead Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi, was arrested. Although Xu Zhonghang was tortured and tortured, he regarded death as a homecoming and did not tell the secrets of the party. Although Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi were not exposed, they lost contact with the party organization until 1945, when Wu Kejian came to Chongqing on behalf of the Southern Bureau and found the organization again with Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi, who had been separated from the party organization for three years.

In May 1943, Shen Anna also worked as a shorthand writer for the Women's Steering Committee of the New Life Movement, often doing shorthand for Song Meiling's speeches. As Chiang Kai-shek's wife, Soong Mei Ling has an outstanding temperament and is radiant. In order to make a good impression on Song Meiling, Shen Anna will find her best cheongsam to wear every time she gives Song Meiling a shorthand. After each shorthand, Shen Anna translated the shorthand symbols into text, copied them neatly, and organized them into a book and handed them to Song Meiling, which was deeply satisfied by Song Meiling.

5. Return to the Party's side after a meritorious name

In 1949, a million male divisions of the People's Liberation Army crossed the Yangtze River, and the desperate Chiang family dynasty fled to Taiwan. Shen Anna and Hua Mingzhi followed Wu Kejian's instructions: You don't have to go south with the Kuomintang, you can go to Shanghai to meet liberation.

At this time, the secretary general of the Party Department of the Kuomintang Central Committee had been replaced by Chen Lifu, who instructed the chief of the confidential department to take away the best stenographer, Shen Anna. Shen Anna pushed back and said that she wanted to go back to Shanghai to see her family, so she quietly left Nanjing and returned to Shanghai. With the liberation of Shanghai, Shen Anna's fifteen-year underground espionage career came to an end.
