It is reported that on the morning of May 16, the staff of the port office of the Nanjing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau intercepted a dead insect on the inside of the box door when unpacking a 40-foot container loaded with 22.938 tons of drill pipe at the Longtan Port container inspection platform. It is then sent to a phytosanitary laboratory for further identification.

Adult insects mainly feed on the young leaves and young stems at the top of the plant, especially like to eat plant seedlings, often making the top of the seedlings broken, the growth of seedlings is slow or even the whole plant is dead, resulting in lack of plants, and even replanting. The larvae feed mainly on the rhizomes in the soil and are eaten into curved scars of varying shades.
