Wenjiang Area VS Yongchuan District (formerly Jiangjin Prefecture, Jiangba County)

author:TravelChina

Yesterday, a micro-headline was made, saying that the "former Yongchuan area" should be benchmarked against the "former Wenjiang area" and not against the districts and counties in central Chongqing.

Let's first look at the history of the two places:

In 1983, the year of the great adjustment of the administrative divisions of Sichuan, the Wenjiang district was abolished, and all its districts and counties were merged into Chengdu.

At the same time, the Yongchuan area was also abolished, and all its districts and counties were merged into Chongqing.

Now 40 years are almost over! Let's take a look at the current development of these districts and counties, and look at their GDP

Wenjiang Area VS Yongchuan District (formerly Jiangjin Prefecture, Jiangba County)

Annual GDP of each district and county in 2020

I have been to many districts and counties here, I feel that the Yongchuan area is better, the urban construction of each district and county is very good, there are office buildings, giving people a feeling of urban area, each district has a large complex, Hechuan is even more powerful, there are 24-hour national chain convenience stores, and there are many! It can be seen that the consumption power of Hechuan is gone!

Wenjiang district, only the new capital Wenjiang Pi County is very well developed, because it belongs to the second circle layer of Chengdu, and other districts and counties belong to the third circle layer, and its development still needs to be worked on.
