At the end of Doctor Strange, a conversation between Baron Mordu and Doctor Strange makes the audience think: Well, the next movie villain is arranged!
And, according to previous reports on we got this covered website, it was revealed that Baron Mordu would play a "downright villain role" in the sequel to Doctor Strange.
Now, however, things seem to be moving forward again.
WGTC reports that Nightmare will be a new enemy of Doctor Strange, and Marvel intends to invite Matt Smith to play the role.
"Nightmare" is the lord of the "dream dimension", although it is called "Dream Dimension", but in fact only manages nightmares. Nightmare is the main rival of Doctor Strange and Ghost Knight.
The candidate for this role, Matt Smith, has appeared in many movies and TV series, such as "Terminator: Genesis", "The Crown", "Doctor Who", and the unreleased "Star Wars Episode 9" and "Vampire Mobias".
If Nightmare is really the villain of Doctor Strange 2, then this is in line with what film director Scott Drrickson said earlier. He has said that "Nightmare" is the character he most wants to introduce to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in his sequel.
Marvel hasn't released any news related to Doctor Strange 2 yet, but marvel may reveal some information at the Comic Con in the near future.
