Emperor Taiji, who couldn't help himself, naturally thought of immediately going to summon Hong Chengyu. However, he was stopped by Fan Wencheng. Instead, he openly shot arrows at Matsuyama Castle and surrendered his subordinates to disturb the hearts of the army. After nearly 4 months of besieging Songshan, Hong Chengyu "wanted to fight but was powerless, wanted to keep the rules and food had been exhausted, wanted to escape but did not dare to come out of the team" DonghuaLu, volume III.
This situation lasted until February 1642, when he deliberately let go of the side and let Hong Chengyu intend to break through, and then mixed in spies. Take Xia Chengde as the internal response. The next day, Xia Chengdeli was under the cooperation of the outside world, Wang Tingchen and Cao Changjiao were killed in battle, and Qiu Minyang killed himself. While Hong Chengyu hesitated between suicide and hanging, he was hugged by Xia Chengde and bound by Li Yongfang. The day was February 28, 1642. This battle wiped out the most elite army of the Ming Dynasty. Then there was Jinzhou, which had been besieged for two years, and Zu Dashou saw that the reinforcements were dead, so he surrendered to the Qing Dynasty.

Wang Shi has lost his orphans, and the land is difficult to be full of blood and tears. The mist is dead, and the face of mercy is miserable and leaning on the village.
