First, Guo Jing's family is full of loyal martyrs

Judging from this description, Guo Jing and his youngest son Guo Shaoyu were clearly killed in Battle in Xiangyang, while the younger daughter Guo Xiang was far away in Xichuan, and the whereabouts of the eldest daughter Guo Fu and son-in-law Yelüqi are a mystery.

However, the author does not agree with the saying that "Yelüqi betrayed Guo Jing", they are more likely to be busy with the affairs of the Beggar Gang in Xiangyang, after all, when the war was chaotic, how many people were displaced, the refugees had nowhere to go, naturally they could only become beggars, the Beggar Gang had too many chaotic people to manage, Yelüqi was indeed lacking in skill, compared to adding casualties in Xiangyang, he might as well take care of those rioters, but more meaningful.
It is precisely because Guo Fu and Yelüqi did not die in Xiangyang, they left a bloodline for the Guo family, although for Guo Jing their children are grandsons, they can also be regarded as the only descendants of the Guo family.

Obviously, this gang leader named Yelü Yuanru is the descendant of YelüQi and Guo Fu, otherwise how to explain the original first gang leader among the two foreigners with the surname Yelü?
And if this Yerushalayim had most likely inherited the Fourteen Palms of the Descending Dragon, why were they fourteen palms instead of eighteen? Then you have to turn the original book carefully to notice this detail.
When introducing Shi Huolong in the book, it is mentioned that" at that time, the helper Xiao Feng was a martial artist, but he was expelled from the gang because of his Status as a Khitan man, so he went to the complexity and simplified, reduced the twenty-eight palms to ten palms, and became the eighteen palms of the descending dragon, which was passed down from generation to generation by the false bamboo of the Yi brother Ling Vulture Palace, and was passed down from generation to generation." By the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, although the successor leader YelüQi was taught by his father-in-law Guo Jing, he had learned everything, but since then, the successive helpers of the Gang have only learned fourteen palms at most due to their relatively lack of roots. Shi Huolong only learned twelve of the eighteen palms of the Descending Dragon, because his previous helper had only learned fourteen palms, and as to why Yelüqi did not pass all the eighteen palms to Yelü Yuanru, there was no way to verify, either because it was too late to pass them on, or because Yelü Yuanru was not talented, in short, he only learned fourteen palms at most.
But these fourteen palms alone were enough to make him run amok in this era of martial decline, at least from the setting in the book, he had defeated the Ming Sect Leader at that time.
III. The Struggle Between the Ming Sect and the Gang
In the Book of the Dragon Slayer in the Heavens, the three Persian envoys appeared after a reprimand to Xie Xun and the Golden Flower Mother-in-law, and mentioned a past about the Ming Sect in Middle-earth.

The reason for the outbreak of this great war between the Cai Gang and the Ming Sect is unknown, but from the result, this battle is undoubtedly won by the Cai Gang side, the Sacred Fire Order is the most precious treasure of the Ming Sect, naturally preserved by the Sect Leader, and it later fell into the hands of the Cai Gang, which shows that Yelü Yuanru had a duel with the Stone Sect Leader, and it was Yelü Yuanru who won with the Fourteen Palms of the Descending Dragon.

However, for some reason, Jin Yong deleted the character of Yelü Yuanru in later versions, and the story that occurred between the end of "Eagle Hero" and the beginning of "Dragon Slayer in Heaven" completely ceased to exist.
