I am Xiao Wu, who only went to Los Angeles to study in the United States last year. I didn't expect to encounter the epidemic in the first year of studying abroad.

I originally thought that people in developed countries are much more qualified, well-informed, open-minded, and inclusive.

Exclusion and discrimination against different races? That should be the old yellow calendar!

This time I was completely woken up.

Once in February, when I was in the car wearing a mask, a local next to me yelled at me, meaning "You're sick and you have to get out of the car right away!" "I explained that I wasn't sick and wore a mask to protect myself. He began to get very excited, and began to compare and say that I was a deceitful spirit and a pest.

An American woman next to me stood up and spoke to me, saying I didn't have to get out of the car, and then they argued. But I was completely overwhelmed, and when the car pulled up, I hurried down.

At the end of February, once I went shopping at the supermarket, a white grandmother next to me saw me and said, you are Chinese, why don't you stay at home, it is not right for you to run around like this, how can you do this!

She kept talking in bits and pieces for a long time. Everyone else looked at me with very strange eyes, and I felt so bad.

Because Americans don't wear masks very often, they think that if you wear a mask, you are already a patient.

The 40 days of humiliation abroad, and the 40 hours I had on my way home 01 – I started wearing masks with a few Chinese classmates, but was quickly "taught". 02- Then my classmates and I don't wear masks anymore, but it's not over. In early March 2003, my mother began to call and ask me to hurry up and book a ticket home. 04- After considering all aspects and fully communicating with my family and school, I decided to return to china. 05-Share my protective measures, protect myself at the same time, is to protect others, must not "send poison thousands of miles"! 06- The road back to China is very long and hard, everyone should be patient, think of your family, and those medical staff who have given their lives to fight the epidemic. 07- Viruses are the enemy, children who go out are not!

Once, I was walking on the sidewalk talking to my family on the phone, and I was talking about happiness, when I was suddenly pushed from behind and almost fell.

I quickly looked up, and it was a man running in a tracksuit in the morning, and as he ran, he turned his head and stared at me fiercely, swearing more than a gesture. I subconsciously thought that I was blocking his way, but looking around, the road was very wide, and there was no one at all!

My mother was on the phone, and I suddenly had a feeling of grievance, tears swirling in my eyes, but I couldn't tell my mother.

I cut off the phone, calmed down for a while, and then dialed back and said the signal was not good.

My classmates have also encountered things that walk on the road, are pointed at by others, and shout "get back". She was so frightened that she didn't dare to go out for days.

Later, we slowly figured out that masks must be worn, or protecting ourselves is the most important.

Fortunately, as the situation has become more serious, Americans have begun to realize that to prevent infection, more and more people are wearing masks.

But I never thought about returning to China, the medical resources in Los Angeles are still very good, and the United States has always said not to worry, the government is well prepared. And the ticket back is also quite expensive.

It is said that too many Chinese return to China, even if they stop sailing one day or other circumstances will not let them go back. I said that it is impossible, I am a Chinese national, holding a Chinese passport, how can I not let the Chinese enter?

But at this time, the school was no longer open, let us take online classes at home, the work of part-time work could not be found at all, the Chinese supermarket was closed, plus there were too many unpleasant things happening in this month, and I also wanted to go home.

After all, I am not very familiar with the United States, and if I am sick here, I can't imagine how I should cope, and if I let my mother take care of me, it feels more complicated and more risky.

I bought a ticket for March 28th, which was cheaper. But my family was afraid of changes in policy, so I called all day to urge me, so I changed my ticket to the 16th, from Los Angeles, transiting to Taipei, and flying to Chengdu.

First of all, before booking tickets, you must first understand the school's policies, and fully communicate the course and visa matters to ensure that there is no problem with credits, grades and subsequent returns to school.

Then, be sure to do a good job of personal protection, be responsible for yourself, and be responsible for others.

The few rat that were scolded on the domestic Network also seriously affected our international student group, and I didn't want to be discriminated against abroad, and I was discriminated against when I returned to China.

There are many kinds of protection versions on the Internet, I have carefully read it, and also made detailed notes on success, although according to this set of "prescribed actions" is troublesome, but it is really reassuring.

All I could buy was the kind of three-layer mask, and I wore one on the way to the airport, and I wore two when I got on the plane, and it took almost three hours to replace the one outside.

I also put on my goggles when I got on the plane. This time will be a little water vapor, blurred vision. Overall very uncomfortable, so very much admiration for those paramedics, they really are not easy!

I cut the curtain a little shorter, and then tied my hair up in its entirety, reminding myself not to use my hands to stroke my hair, touch my face, and rub my eyes.

If you must touch yourself with your hands, disinfect your hands first. The phone should also be wiped down with alcohol often.

I put gloves, alcohol disinfectant wipes, alcohol pads, disinfectant hand sanitizer in my jacket pocket, and a small bottle of alcohol spray in my bag, not more than 100ml.

There are 3 places to pay special attention to at the airport:

1. You will be asked to remove your mask during registration procedures;

2. You will be asked to remove your mask when checking your ticket before security check;

3. You will also be asked to remove your mask when checking your ticket.

Because the staff had to check the faces, they did the right thing. When you take off your mask, you must remember to keep your mouth shut and hold your breath!

I flew for a total of 18 hours + 8 hours of transit, and then there was a series of landing detection procedures, nearly 9 hours. Therefore, from the time I set off, until I finally landed in the isolation hotel in Chengdu, the whole process took nearly 40 hours!

When I arrived at the Los Angeles airport, there weren't many people. Airlines are also paying attention, basically arranging an empty seat between every two people. However, no one took the temperature during the whole process, so you have no idea what the physical condition of the passengers on the same plane.

And my grandmother is in my house, and I must not have any problems. Thinking about this, I never took off my mask and goggles again, and after taking off, I closed my eyes and slept, did not eat or drink, and did not want to go to the toilet.

To arrive at Taipei Airport for transit, you need to wait for 8 hours. I bought some food, picked a corner where no one was, took out a small alcohol spray bottle, detoxified all around and myself, and quickly ate and drank to replenish my strength.

On the voyage from Taipei to Chengdu, everyone should fill out the health declaration form in advance. After the plane lands, it will be ranked by last name one by one to measure the body temperature. People with signs of fever are taken directly to the hospital, and their first three rows and the last three rows are all focused on.

After I got on the shuttle bus and arrived at the customs gate, there would be a conversation between medical staff, asking about travel history, physical condition, what drugs I took, and then queuing up for nucleic acid testing and filling in contact information.

In the end, the passport will be collected uniformly, and there will be medical staff to divide everyone into small groups and take them to the border inspection. Luggage do not have to be picked up, the airport will be uniformly disinfected to help you send directly to the isolation hotel.

When the bus arrives at the hotel entrance, everyone will be sprayed with disinfectant alcohol in the open space downstairs.

By the time I finally collapsed on my bed in the isolated hotel, it was already 3 a.m.!

The hotel in Chengdu is very good, the isolation cost is at your own expense, the daily cap of 400 yuan, including all the food and accommodation, but the central air conditioning is not allowed to open, closed state. Three meals a day will be delivered, their own takeaway or online shopping can also be done, the staff will help deliver to the door.

Someone will come to take your temperature twice a day, and the next day you will do a nucleic acid test at the hotel. If it is a person in the province, if there is no problem with the nucleic acid test, it will be taken away by the community to isolate at home. If it is a province, it must first quarantine at the hotel for 14 days.

In short, the whole process is very hard, but everyone must be patient, because it is all to ensure the safety of everyone. After all, in order to win the fight against the epidemic, many people have even sacrificed their precious lives, and we must do our best to ensure that we cannot make mistakes and add to the chaos.

In addition, in order to ensure our return to China, the relevant staff is very many, but also indeed very hard, I hope that everyone will not have complaints, or any dissatisfaction, must abide by the rules, do their own protection work!

The above are all from the personal description of international student Xiao Wu, Xiao Wu hopes to share his return journey, and his own protection experience, she wishes all returnees to china safe and smooth!

As we all know, there are many indignant remarks on the Internet now, saying that Chinese people return to China at this time, regardless of national security, usually enjoy abroad, and return to China to take refuge when there is difficulty.

In fact, as an ordinary international student, when the domestic epidemic first began, they were very anxious, on the one hand, they were worried about the form of the motherland, on the other hand, they had to fight against some unfriendly people and remarks overseas, and many international students organized to raise funds and goods and actively donate to Wuhan.

Chinese, always be the people of the motherland!

Now people who go abroad, whether they are going to do business or to learn cultural knowledge, with the strength of the motherland, they are also more and more feeding the motherland. Closing the door can't make us stronger, we need people to keep going out, pioneering, learning, and influencing the world.

In times of crisis, the motherland will not shut you out of the door, as long as you do a good job of protection and strictly abide by the regulations.

I hope that we will unite to defeat the epidemic at an early date and resume normal study, work and life as soon as possible!
