Her grandfather served as the inspector of Zhejiang Province, her uncle served as the director of the Guangdong Finance Department, and the foreign family was rich in business, she can be regarded as a well-deserved Miss Qianjin, but she is also an authentic advanced woman.
In order to rebel against her parents' marriage arrangement, she left home at the age of 19 to study in Tianjin, and then was admitted to the Beijing Female Teacher with excellent results, where she met Lu Xun.
Xu Guangping, who loves literature, fell in love with the knowledgeable teacher at first sight, and Lu Xun also had a good feeling for this smart and intelligent little girl. But at this time, Lu Xun already had an original wife, although he had never had a husband and wife with this lady, but in law, the name of the couple could not be denied. Lu Xun felt that he could not give his lover a name, and euphemistically refused Xu Guangping's repeated confessions.
Xu Guangping did not shrink back from this, she offered to fall in love, gave up her fame, and was willing to be a woman who was hidden from him and silently dedicated to him.
Later, the two lived together, and Lu Xun still hid their relationship from the outside world, saying that Xu Guangping was his assistant. If someone bumps into Xu Guangping at his house, he will explain to people that Xu Guangping has come to help him copy the manuscript. When going out to travel, you must book a triple room, stay with your friends, and try to clarify your relationship with Xu Guangping.
But this strong clarification does not prove that Lu Xun does not love her, and the feelings between the two are extremely deep. During the period before they lived together, the love letters between the two were so close that they were compiled by posterity into the Book of Two Places.
After the two lived together, Xu Guangping, in addition to taking care of his son and taking care of the housework, also had to take on the position of Lu Xun's assistant, and some people also relied on her to receive them. Lu Xun is picky about food, Xu Guangping is too busy with other affairs to get out of cooking, once suggested a cook every month, but Lu Xun felt that the burden was too heavy, asked her to shoulder the responsibility of cooking, so she had to rearrange the schedule and arrange the diet of a large family. She gave Lu Xun a little tenderness beyond cruelty, and in the ten years they lived together, Lu Xun's creative efficiency exceeded all the previous times, and he began to write about the temperature of feelings, changing the words that had been cold and critical.
In 1936, when Lu Xun was seriously ill, he still did not forget to tell his lover, "Don't think about me, just take care of your own life!" After the death of her lover, she only relied on a little royalty that the two had created, and in addition to raising her son, she also had to support Lu's mother and original wife who lived in other places.
Despite his tight pockets to survive on loans, Xu Guangping has never stopped providing for her husband's family, and she cannot lack her mother-in-law's use by cutting down on food and clothing. In the letter to her mother-in-law, she gently advised the other party, hoping that her mother-in-law would not be ashamed to open her mouth to herself when her life was tight.
The life of the original Juan is extremely tragic, she and Xu Guangping's concept of opposite personality, she is obedient and weak, thinking that as long as she becomes a relative, she can always impress her husband. She didn't know what Lu Xun wanted from beginning to end, Lu Xun gave her gold and silver to let her remarry, she didn't follow, Lu Xun was far away from his hometown and Xu Guangping loved to have a son, she still didn't leave.
People often say that men have lost her, but I think otherwise, no one has failed Juan, in the same era, there are women who follow their lovers regardless of their fame, and more women who have remarried many times are still emotionally hot, why must she tie herself under feudal etiquette?
