It is understood that the exhibition as the first exhibition of the "Wancheng Art Museum Tenth Anniversary Celebration", for this series of exhibitions kicked off. This exhibition is the first exhibition of Zhang Mu's personal works in China, and the first special research exhibition in China to show Zhang Mu's life and artistic achievements, and the exhibition will last until December 20.
This exhibition is divided into four parts: "Heavenly Bone Chaojun", "Literati Lyrical", "Poetic Imprint", and "Cultural Inheritance". The exhibition brings together Zhang Mu's works in the fields of painting, poetry, calligraphy, seal carving and related documents, so as to show the inheritance and inclusiveness of Dongguan's local art, develop, research and promote the artistic life and outstanding achievements of local artist Zhang Mu, as well as Zhang Mu's spiritual character.
The exhibition displays a total of 27 paintings (sets) created by Zhang Mu in different periods, 1 work by Zhang Jiayu and Rong Geng's manuscript documents. The paintings in the exhibition are from the Guangdong Provincial Museum, the Guangzhou Museum of Art, and the Dongguan Museum, and the manuscript documents are from the Guangdong Provincial Zhongshan Library.
Yang Xiaotang, member of the Standing Committee of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department, affirmed the exhibition. He said that in the ten years since the opening of the Guancheng Art Museum, the Zhang Mu Art Research Exhibition is the first exhibition of the series of activities of "Guancheng Art Museum's Tenth Anniversary Celebration", which is a high-level exhibition and of extraordinary significance. Through the exhibition, Dongguan people Zhang Mu's paintings and poems and other works of art can be viewed and learned by more Dongguan citizens. Yang Xiaotang said that the exhibits in the exhibition are all fine products, and the collections from all over the country, especially the collections of some key museums and art museums, as well as related research results, are a high-level exhibition.
In order to collect more comprehensive information about Zhang Mu in all aspects, the Guancheng Art Museum also held an exhibition academic exchange meeting in the afternoon, on the one hand, using the exhibition as a platform to discuss the significance of Zhang Mu's life and artistic culture, so that more people can understand Zhang Mu; on the other hand, based on Zhang Mu, it expanded to discuss the characteristics of Dongguan's historical culture, as well as the ways and methods of Guancheng Art Museum in excavating and studying local culture.
