CCTV news: In love? Cheat you out of money that kind of. Recently, the Xiangfang Branch of the Harbin Municipal Public Security Bureau successfully cracked a case of meeting women through online social software and committing fraud in the name of falling in love, involving an amount of more than 160,000 yuan.  

On April 3, the Harbin Xiangfang Public Security Substation Haping Road Police Station received a report from Zhao Mou, saying that he had been cheated of more than 100,000 yuan. The police immediately carried out investigation work and found that the criminal suspect Wang Moujie had gained Zhao's trust by falling in love and had repeatedly defrauded the victim Zhao of money. After work, the police quickly locked the whereabouts of Wang Moujie, and on April 19, the police arrested the criminal suspect Wang Moujie in a community in Pingfang District.  

After trial, criminal suspect Wang Moujie truthfully confessed his criminal experience of committing network telecommunications fraud. On March 28, Wang Moujie met Zhao through online social software. On April 1, Wang Moujie asked Zhao to eat in Triumph Square and said that the two sides were very close and wanted to fall in love with Zhao. After gaining Zhao's trust, Wang Moujie revealed his true face. He successively borrowed money from Zhao for various reasons such as anxious use of money and financial investment for the victim, and promised to give it back. In just three days, Zhao transferred a total of 102,250 yuan to Wang Moujie.  

On April 3, Wang Moujie borrowed money from Zhao again on the grounds of investment failure, when Zhao found that he had been deceived and went to the police station to report the case.  

After investigation, the criminal suspect Wang Moujie also made friends with multiple women online by the same means and committed fraud many times, involving an amount of more than 160,000 yuan. The criminal suspect Wang Moujie used all the stolen money from the fraud to squander online gambling.  

At present, the criminal suspect Wang Moujie has been taken criminal compulsory measures by the police, and the case is being further investigated.
