The National Ocean ForecastIng Station issued a storm surge blue warning and a wave yellow warning at 8 o'clock today: Affected by tropical storm "Miaobai" No. 2 this year, it is expected that from noon on June 12 to noon on the 13th, a large wave of 3.5 to 5.5 meters will appear in the northern waters of the South China Sea to the giant wave area, and a large wave of 2.5 to 3.5 meters will appear in the waters off the eastern coast of Guangdong, and the wave warning level will be yellow. Vessels operating in the above-mentioned waters should pay attention to avoiding the waves.

At the same time, it is expected that from the afternoon of June 12 to the night, there will be a storm increase of 30 to 100 centimeters along the coast from Shantou to the Pearl River Estuary in Guangdong Province. There will be no tidal stations in the above shore section that exceed the local alert tide level. The coastal government and relevant departments are requested to make emergency preparations for defending against storm surges in accordance with their duties; all relevant units involved in the sea take active and effective measures to organize fishing vessels, fishing rows, and farms to do a good job in defense work; strengthen coastal fishery aquaculture facilities and fishing port facilities to make preparations for moisture prevention.
