On December 6, 1568 (December 23, 1568), Yuan Hongdao was born into a wealthy family of official eunuchs, and the birth of the second generation of officials was supposed to help him "go smoothly" in the official field, but he did not. He is a person who likes to read since he was a child, and he can "dance and ink" at a young age, and when he is 16 years old, he has begun to organize a literary club.
At the age of 24, Yuan Hongdao entered the army and entered the first place, which was considered to have entered the career path. According to the regulations at that time, after winning the rank, it was necessary to wait until there was a vacant position before being awarded an official position. Yuan Hongdao waited for three years. Three years later, he was granted the Wu County Order.
When he first arrived, Yuan Hongdao was also determined to do a good job and seize this opportunity to show his grand plans. Unfortunately, he has the ambition to engage in politics but does not have the talent to engage in politics, and he is very disgusted with the red tape of the officialdom.
In the county order, he did not have a single day of happiness. In a letter to a friend, he said that it was really "bitter" to be this ghost county order. How painful is it to be a county order? Yuan Hongdao explained: "When I was this county order, I was extremely ugly and indescribable. When the leader is a slave, the guest is a prostitute, the zhiqiangu becomes a doorman, and when he does things for the people, he becomes an old nanny. In one day, a hundred warm and a hundred cold, a yin and a yang, a bad taste in the world, I tasted it all. Bitter, bitter. He also said: "When I was the county commander, I was simply inferior to a cow and a horse." Why? Shangguan is like a cloud, passers-by are like rain, books are like mountains, money valleys are like the sea, and it is still too late to undertake inspection points day and night. When you see a Shangguan, you must have a pair of dirty bones, you must also have a smiling face when entertaining passers-by, and you must have a strong spirit in handling official documents. Oh, bitterness, bitterness. "
Yuan Hongdao's words vividly illustrate the heavy daily business of a county order. He is arrogant and high-minded, and he likes the colors of lakes and mountains, reading tea, and writing poetry and composition. It is naturally painful for the officials to greet each other, pick up and send them, kneel to greet the officials, and nod their heads.
His literati temperament, which was immersed in his bones, often reminded him that his temperament was suitable for quiet and leisurely, reading and writing, and that his sexual and literary talents should not be consumed by the tediousness of the officialdom.
"The official binds people", he sighed softly, "Can Ann bend over and bow his head for a long time, go to what is good and obey what is evil?" He had been in office for more than a year in Wu County. Finally, he decided to resign.
Yuan Hongdao was brave, he did not linger on power, and after seeing his true ambitions, he resigned decisively; Yuan Hongdao was wise, and he knew that the bound soul would inevitably destroy his spirituality. After resigning, he traveled all over the southeast scenic spots, wandering between the lakes and mountains, and answered with his friends' poetry and wine, "No day is not a tour, no tour is not happy, no moment is not talked about, no talk is not smooth", and "poetics is greatly advanced, poetry collection is great, poetry intestines are wide, poetry eyes are wide". Since then, there has been less of a diligent county order in the official field, and there has been one more "big guy" in the history of literature.
From Yuan Hongdao's resignation experience, I suddenly thought of this sentence once heard by a leader at a training meeting:
"Before becoming an official, you must think carefully, be sincere, sit in meditation, and face the wall. Because this is a road of no return, once you are on this road you cannot turn back. If your heart is not right and your intentions are not sincere, sooner or later something will go wrong. Once something goes wrong, it is not only you, the family, but also the trust and well-being of the people that are destroyed. "
