The second reason why evo has a threshold for getting started is the low torque difference, very poor, especially poor! The evo is a very old-fashioned car that waits until 3500 rpm to enjoy maximum torque. The author glanced at the turbine pressure gauge a few times, and the construction pressure was above 3000 rpm. Many people prefer 4g63t, the author looked through the external characteristics of the map found that it is more aggressive than 4b11t, low turn and middle section are very weak, the author cloud guessed that he did not like that driving experience.
This driving experience is very different from the Foxrs. Fox power response is excellent, there is almost no turbo lag, 2000 rpm to enjoy maximum torque (in fact, 1500 rpm is enough), low rpm slow acceleration feels quite relaxed. But the Fox torque curve is too flat, the drop is also particularly early (4500 rpm), and the feeling of pulling high rotation is as bland and boring as a home temperature Coke without steam.
By today's standards, the low turn zone of 4b11t is quite struggling, always urging the driver to give oil to the middle and high turn zone. This kind of forced to run small temper is also reflected in some other naughty small details, a gas induction brake strength immediately came up to the driver to pause, can not be very smooth and comfortable gliding; once the oil collection of the whole car will be violent resonance, continue to give oil resonance will disappear, this feeling I have only experienced on the McLaren 600lt and Mitsubishi evo. The most amazing thing is that the gear lever will shake violently when the 2nd gear is oiled, mixed with the resonance of the whole car, and for a while I think that the shaking massage of the red light such as the 2.0t tianlai d gear is not a big problem. 2 gear is really a very strange evo gear, the feeling of entering the gear is different from the other four forward gears, you need to stuff it very hard (in Sichuan words, it is "playing in"), the author has twice 3 back 2 failed to plug in. Evo's shift stroke is medium to short, and the resistance to the gear is relatively large, as for the Volkswagen "suction feeling" or Subaru-style "mechanical feeling" that some fans like, I'm sorry that this car really does not.
The suspension of the evo fe amazes the author, and the comfort is really good. Its low-speed compression damping is not adjusted much, the front section is relatively soft, and pressing some small pits and small cuts is much more comfortable than the author's Eight Generations Civic. I even drove a short stretch of dirt road (which is very pulling) and the comfort was pretty good.
The author has previously said that fox rs is slightly more than bmw m2 10%-20%, evo fe and m2 are almost at the same level, and the mynah himself even feels more comfortable than m2. Putting aside the difference in body height, the overall feel of the evo fe is very similar to the Lotus evora gt410 with reinforced parts. The rear wheel wants as much as you want, the front wheel wants to leave as much as you want, this set of four-wheel drive is like the driver's ass, as if you can guess the idea of every corner, it is too good to please the owner.
But this car is not without disadvantages in driving on mountain roads. Due to the gentle initial suspension and slightly poor support, the roll control in the corner is not particularly good, and it feels a little "thrown", unlike the Foxrs who completely eat the ground to give people strong confidence. In addition, the steering feel is relatively poor, basically a reverse Fox setting. The Foxrs have almost no damping, the steering wheel is very sought-after, while the evo is almost only damped, turning the steering wheel is quite astringent, and the feeling of returning to the right is also a bit clumsy.
This car has a lot to impress, it is very good to avoid vibration, the four-wheel drive system is very advanced, and the fuel economy is also very good (only 12l/100 km). But today it is indeed an outdated product, the power is very general, the steering feel is poor, the sitting position is not suitable, and the turbine tuning is not friendly to everyday driving.
Now many performance cars are set up with a variety of mode options, such as bmw m series can adjust the steering feel, chassis, power, transmission, etc., combined together a car can have dozens of personalities.
