Foreword: At the end of October, we issued a brief introduction to the world's second kind of roe deer shovel, Zhu Chuang shovel, which was newly published in China in September, and the species literature was published in the 22nd issue of Beetles World, and today we got the complete electronic version of the magazine.
In addition to the Zhu Chuang roe shovel, this issue of Beetles World publishes two new pseudo-deep mountain species: the David quasi-deep mountain Guizhou subspecies (Eolucanus davidis guizhouensis) and the Jonna pseudo-deep spade (Note 1), and provides a more detailed review of all species in the entire genus Pseudosmos.
Note 1: Eolucanus jonna species name "jonna" originates from the publisher's youngest granddaughter (Jonna), this article is directly translated as Jona according to the domestic name translation habits, such as academic circles follow the formal Chinese name is adjusted.

Zhu Chuangyi: In the previous part, because I did not see the literature, I only made a brief introduction based on the pictures, this time we share the detailed details according to the literature.
Origin:
In Xishuangbanna (Jinghong), Yunnan, the habitat base altitude is about 1150 m, and the male of the type specimen is 14.0 mm long.

Body color: the whole is black, there are two cross-shaped orange-red stripes on the central sides of the front thorax back plate (longitudinally curved inward, laterally curved forward), about 1/3 of the ends of all leg segments are orange-red, and the body has no obvious villi.
Features: The male has a weak curved end of the large jaw, 10 to 11 serrated round teeth on the medial lower margin, 3 tooth processes on the inner upper edge are located at the base, near the center and the proximal end, the top of the head is semicircular, the compound eye is large and prominent, the anterior edge is slightly forked, the posterior edge is obliquely straight, the anterior corner is blunt, the anterior corner is blunt, and the widest point is located in the posterior corner; and there are 9-10 continuous spikes on the outer edge of the tibia segment of the forefoot.
Identification: The main distinguishing points between the male and the roe deer shovel are: about 1/3 of the end of the leg is orange-red (the moth is monochromatic); there are 10 to 11 continuous round teeth on the lower edge of the large jaw (the moth has no inner teeth), the inner edge of the upper edge and the inner teeth of the jaw tip are small (the inner teeth of the upper edge of the moth are larger); the lateral edge of the dorsal plate of the front chest is obliquely straight between the lateral edge and the posterior corner.
Female: Currently unknown.
Trivia: The species name "zhuchuangi" originates from Mr. Zhu Chuang, a domestic (Xuzhou) insect enthusiast.
<h1 class = "pgc-h-arrow-right" > David's Eolucanus davidis guizhouensis</h1>
Overview: The Subspecies of David's Proposed Deep Spade guizhou is distributed in Guizhou (Liupanshui), with a habitat base altitude of about 2900 m, males about 29.0-38.5 mm, and females 29.1 mm.
Identification: Similar in appearance to the original name subspecies, males can be identified by the following characteristics:
1. The jaw, head, dorsal plate of the forebrea and front legs are black brown, the elytra and middle hind legs are light yellow-brown, and the seams and lateral margins of the elytra are black brown;
2, the whole body is larger, the head is also larger;
3. The jaw is flatter overall, and the proximal tooth process is thicker;
4. The head shield is wider and resembles a triangle, and the middle protrusion is more rounded;
5. The outer edge of the tibia segment of the forefoot is 7 to 10 rounded and blunt.
Females: the body color is black brown, the elytra are yellowish brown, the elytra are dark brown at the seams, leading edges, and lateral margins of the elytra; the head has sparse incumbents, and the posterior part of the dorsal plate of the anterior thorax is wider.

Judging from the collation of contents, the proposed deep spade is mainly distributed in China (mainly in Yunnan, Guichuan, Tibet and other provinces) and India, and only a small part is located in Neighboring Countries such as Myanmar, Nepal, and Bhutan. In addition, the Adi proposed deep mountain spade does not list the origin of China, but in fact, according to the "Chinese Spade 3", this species has also been found in the Metuo region of Tibet in China in recent years.
