Feng Zhiwei, who has driven for more than a decade, said that he had never driven such a dangerous road, and in the last 140 kilometers, they drove for more than 7 hours.

In December 1950, the predecessor of a battalion and a company of a certain regiment of the joint logistics support force was born on the banks of the Yalu River, and before it was formed, it went to the front line of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.
Amid the smoke of gunfire, the party branch of a company led the officers and men of the company to fight for more than 2 years, more than 50 martyrs were buried in their hometowns, more than 110 people were honored with military merits, and with rolling wheels, flesh and blood, and loyal faith, they ran out of a steel transportation line that "never stopped fighting and could not be destroyed."

There is faith in the heart and strength in the feet. Entering a new era, the party branch of the first company insisted on using Xi Jinping Thought on Strengthening the Army to build a company and educate people, carry forward the "spirit of sharp knives", and lead the officers and men of the whole company to successfully complete various major support tasks. In 2016, the company was commended by the CPC Central Committee as a "national advanced grass-roots party organization" and was praised as a strong fighting fortress on the thousand-mile transportation line.
In May last year, the regiment of a company received a mission to a place with an altitude of nearly 5,000 meters and an extremely harsh environment. The task was particularly dangerous, and the party branch of a company was the first to write a letter of request, and the officers and men wrote down a letter of request for battle. Once, company commander Meng Fanlong led the convoy on a mission, and on the way, a sudden snowstorm was encountered, and the snow on the road was more than a meter thick, and it was impossible to distinguish where the road was and where the cliff was, which was called the "death zone". After consulting with the instructor Liu Qing, he decided that he would lead more than 20 party members to drive a 3-kilometer dangerous ice and snow section, and the instructor would lead the remaining 10 party members to stand in the snow as road signs. Many party members have frozen into "snowmen", but they are like battle flags erected on the plateau transportation line, proudly fighting the wind and snow.
If a company is a "sharp knife", then the party member is the tip of the knife on the sharp knife. They took the lead in everything, rushed forward at all times, and influenced the officers and men of the whole company with silent actions.
In 2008, as the first batch of disaster relief troops, the First Company participated in the Wenchuan earthquake relief and carried out the task of disaster relief for the collapse of the 109 tunnel of the Baocheng Railway. When the convoy was still about 6 kilometers away from the destination, the road conditions in front of them made all the drivers dumbfounded: on the left was a mountain, on the right was a cliff, and the narrowest place could only rely on the command, one by one vehicles to pass.
"Let me drive, and the squad leader will command in the front." Zhang Rongliang, who has always had excellent driving skills and was scrambling for urgent and difficult tasks, rushed to the front of the company commander to ask for battle. The situation was critical, and he didn't even think about it before he got into the cab. From the rearview mirror, the left rear wheel is close to the mountain, and the outside of the right rear wheel is almost suspended in the air.
Zhang Rongliang took a deep breath, adjusted his state, hung into the low-speed gear, and slowly lifted the clutch, so that the body was slowly moving forward close to the mountain. When the vehicle reached the middle position, a sudden aftershock struck and the body shook constantly. Zhang Rongliang held his breath, clasped the direction with both hands, and finally the vehicle passed the collapsed road section safely and smoothly, successfully completing the task.
On the front line of the task, Zhang Rongliang "joined the party in the line of fire." This became the highlight of his life that he was most proud of.

In the early morning of last July, the roar of transport vehicles was heard on the shores of the blue lake. Liu Yongbin, a backbone of a company of party members and a soldier of the third class, was assigned to a medical team to carry out the task of supporting the front. "Every morning, before the wake-up call sounded, I was woken up by the sound of Liu Yongbin starting the vehicle." Zhang Ying, a plateau disease expert at a health camp of a brigade, said.
Starting the vehicle every morning, replenishing the main and auxiliary fuel tanks every day, and checking the technical status of the vehicle every day is Liu Yongbin's "muscle memory"; learning first aid knowledge, serving as a "stretcher" and becoming a "male nurse", this is Liu Yongbin's "new mission".
"Under the joint combat, joint training, and joint guarantee system, our 'one specialty, multiple abilities' are not only able to drive a variety of vehicles, but also be able to act as hygienists and cooks..." The understanding of the party branch of the company quickly became the consensus of the officers and men of a company.
In recent years, the party branch of a company has focused on being able to fight and win wars, focusing on improving the standard of combat effectiveness, and always aiming at the construction of combat effectiveness support. "Getting on the car to drive well, getting off the car to repair, and stopping to fight" is an essential skill for every officer and soldier.
There is a saying in the art of war: raise soldiers for a thousand days, and use soldiers for a while. The first company is a company on wheels, which has been carrying out transportation tasks outside for a long time, and how to grasp construction under the conditions of movement and dispersion has always been a difficult point and focus in the work.
In a company, each convoy has a branch committee, every 5 vehicles have a temporary party group, and there are party member commandos in each mission direction. Wherever the task extends, the Party organization will cover it. The tighter the time, the heavier the task, and the greater the risk, the more prominent the role of the party branch in fighting the fortress.
Last October, while the company was on a transport mission, a vehicle was mired in a quagmire. Just when everyone was at a loss, the party branch urgently studied, summoned all party members to carry materials, and after a night of hard work, safely transported all the materials to the designated place.
In 2015, a company of soldiers Liu Zhiliang, Huang Hao and four others were assigned to a certain oil pipeline team to perform transportation support tasks. They promptly set up party groups, held party group meetings, and made mutual demands on giving play to the role of party members and accomplishing good tasks, enhancing their cohesion and combat effectiveness, and finally successfully completing their tasks.
In the corridor of the company dormitory, the "excellent pacesetter incentive wall" on both sides is particularly eye-catching. "Every year, the branch committee selects outstanding representatives from the performance of major training tasks, military training assessments, and competitions, and hangs their photos and deeds in the corridor of the company." Every time it is transported online, every time it performs a major task, it is a quenching, and every time it undergoes quenching, it makes this steel transportation "sharp knife" sharper and tougher.
