At about 15:00 on March 1, a plane carrying out artificial rain augmentation operations crashed near Yuanshan Village in Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, and Comrades Shan Liang and Li Peng of the Heilongjiang Meteorological Bureau and Peng Liang of the Jiangxi Meteorological Bureau, who were operating on the plane, unfortunately died in the line of duty.
