Drinking cool water in hot weather makes people feel the warmth of people in the cool, this bucket of water is provided by a strange person who lives in this city, who carries such a heavy bucket of water every morning when the sun does not rise, and the meticulous intention is quite appreciated.
In the dusty world, everyone regards time as very important, because time is money, almost to the point where no one is willing to sacrifice a little time for others, even good friends, if there is no important thing, it is difficult to gather. But when I drink "Bong Shui" and think of someone who has spent time and thought on it and sacrificed his own strength, I feel that in the busy and rotating world, there are still people who live calmly, and he practices some of the truths of dedication for his own ideas, which is "the person who is not confused by others in the world."
This reminds me of living in the countryside as a child, and at the intersection where pedestrians pass by, or in remote deserted villages, I often see a large teapot with the words "Bong Cha" written on it, and sometimes a wooden shelf is specially nailed to enshrine the teapot. Every time I pass by "Bong Cha", whether I am thirsty or not, I will always pour a large cup of herbal tea and continue to move forward, and I still remember the bamboo tube that drinks tea, which seems to have the fragrance of the bamboo forest.
When I was a little more sensible, when I saw the tea offering, I could not help but think of the appearance of the rural land temple, and felt that the hearts of those who placed the "tea offering" should be enshrined and admired, they are the land lords of their own land, and there is a kind of wordless and selfless love for the land and the people. I think that sometimes people live in this world, and it is not a matter of not leaving any name and surname, as long as they have real care and dedication to life and land, even if they have fulfilled their human responsibilities.
I haven't seen "Fengcha" for a long time, so when I see "Fengshui" in the suburbs of Taipei, I wander low for a long time, in the end, whether it is tea or water, in the countryside and the city, there are human warmth. A small cup of cold water on the side of the mountain path made me feel very good on the way up the mountain, and I felt that I was not so lonely.
When I reached the top of the mountain, I didn't expect that there was also an exactly same steel barrel on the platform, at this time it was written not "Feng Shui", but "Feng Cha", two plastic tea cups, one yellow and one blue, I poured a cup to drink, and found that the tea was boiling hot. So I stood at the top of the hill and looked down at the smoke and dusty earth, and felt that the person who prepared these two buckets of tea was simply a Zen master. In the exact same barrel, one cold and one hot, one tea and one water, even the cup is just right, what kind of heart is hidden in it?
I have always believed that no matter how the times change, there will always be some outstanding people in the times, just as no matter how the mountains and forests change, there will always be some birds in the mountains. In the same way, everyone changes in time, and the most common change is from a poetic and leisurely mind to an ordinary vulgar and helpless, from a sensitivity to the timing of human feelings to an insensitivity for everything. We see in the stock trumpet (which is so nicely named, a bit like an ancient toilet) many eyes staring at billboards, eyes that used to look at clouds, mountains, and water; we look at the hands that signed the lottery, which used to be the hands that wrote love letters and poems; we look at the feet that ran for money and money, the feet that used to walk by the sea and the wilderness. Our eyes, ears, noses, tongues, and bodies still look the same as they did twenty years ago, but in essence, sometimes in the middle of the night mirror, they can no longer see their connection, so where is the idealistic, perfection-seeking, every pore full of brilliance?
The Qing Dynasty poet Zhang Can has a short poem: "Calligraphy and painting Qinqi poetry hops, in those years, one piece did not leave it; and now the seven things are more changed, chai rice oil salt sauce vinegar tea." "It is very able to express the changes of ordinary people in the flow of time and space, from "calligraphy and painting, piano, chess, poetry and hops" to "chai rice oil salt sauce vinegar tea", people's hearts must have undergone a great turmoil and revolution, but mortals often unconsciously introspect and let the vulgar turn. In fact, the characters with great arms are not exempt from the vulgarity, Liang Qichao has a "Water Tune Song Head" that I particularly like, and the second half of it is: "A thousand golden swords, a thousand words, two stumbles." Drunk in the wall to talk to themselves, after waking up a torrent. Don't hate the years to go also, only afraid of the teenager's heart, strong half for the grinding. May the sick for all beings, the head of the liturgy of Vimal. My own state of mind is very close to Liang Rengong's words, the encounters of life are not afraid of old age, afraid of the "grinding" of the teenager's heart, and in the end there is only "a tuotuo after waking up".
On the road of life, most promising young people want to "serve tea" for society, the world, and mankind, but unfortunately, most of them have returned to their homes to drink tea for the elderly. There are also some people who are not even interested in drinking the tea of the elderly, and it is very rare to have the heart to serve tea in middle age.
Someone asked me, what is the most lacking thing in this society?
I think the most lacking are two kinds, one is "calm" and the other is "sentient". These two qualities are the qualities of the great people, but because we lack "calmness", it is difficult to see people who walk gracefully and see highly; because of the lack of "sentient feelings", it is difficult to see people who are clean and full of fun.
Sociologists divide society into youth society, middle-aged society, and elderly society, and some young society is "enthusiastic" and some elderly society is "calm". We happen to be a middle-aged society, some are "pragmatic", pragmatic is not bad, but if there is no calm attitude to life and affectionate embrace, pragmatic to the end is exactly chai rice oil salt sauce vinegar tea, sacrificing calligraphy and painting piano chess poetry hops. A thoroughly pragmatic person is actually a numb layman, and a society that only knows the practice of fame and fortune is a rigid vulgar society.
The dialogue between the Zen master and a master who speaks the Huayan Sutra is recorded in the Quotations of the Zen Master da zhu, which allows us to see how important it is to have a sentient and calm mind.
The master asked Zen Master Dazhu Huihai, "Is it true that Zen Master believes in ruthlessness as a Buddha?" ”
Dazhu replied, "I don't believe it." If the ruthless are Buddhas, the living should be inferior to the dead; the dead donkey and the dead dog should be better than the living. Jing Yun: The Buddha-body, that is, the Dharma-body, is born from the precepts of wisdom, from the three ming and six tongs, and from all the good Dharma. If it is said that the ruthless is a Buddha, the great virtue is now dead and should go as a Buddha. ”
This shows that the Zen mind is sentient, not ignorant and insensitive, and the same is true of our actual life, although a sentient person cannot spend as much time as the heartless person in running a profit (because emotions take time), but if a person sinks his heart with an indifferent environment, it is definitely not a blessing in life.
Many times the happiness of life comes from seemingly meaningless things, such as certain memories of love and friends, such as someone suddenly giving us a cup of tea, such as suddenly hearing a favorite piece of music coming from the ice fruit shop on the path, such as reading a moving poem in a book, such as hearing an old woman on Kusama Pu say a revealing word, such as accidentally seeing the opening of a sorrel flower... In general, the happiness of life comes from the sudden opening of one's own heart, like the sudden exposure of the sun in the clouds, the rainbow when the sky, these seemingly ordinary things, is to see Qionglou Yuyu in a grass, because there is a sentient treasure hall in the heart.
"The sudden opening of the heart" comes from calmness, from sentientity.
The whole process of life is continuous and not broken, so the growth of age is equivalent to the accumulation of life data, to middle-aged people, often life is entangled into a mess, many people are afraid of such chaos, they take the golden wine to suppress, try to use material pursuit to anesthetize the mental stagnation, so that the peace and integration of the soul are displayed as the accumulation of matter.
In fact, it is not necessary to do so, if we can have a more relaxed mood, a more sentient mind, we can pull out and sort out the chaotic lines, see how we have lost the pursuit of ideals in our youth, see clearly in what motivation we are in to start the material power campaign, and then think about: What is the happiness I want? What was the happiness I had in mind at first? Why is my fluctuating heart no longer vibrating? How did I end up in this ancient well?
I often think of the childhood in the early days of Taiwan's restoration, when there was widespread poverty in society, but most people have rich human feelings, people are full of care, human feelings and righteousness have not been obscured by poor life, and the "tea offering" on the country road is the best symbol of human feelings and righteousness. I remember a phrase that my father used to hang on his lips: "Man should live like a person." "At that time, I didn't understand the meaning of this sentence, and now I know the mystery of it better." Even if man's living conditions can only be like animals, man should not live like an animal without human affection, calmness, gentleness and dignity. In the midst of the sorrows and sorrows of the Chinese past, the reason why Chinese has not lost its character comes from this simple idea: "Man should live like a person!" ”
Man's poverty does not come from the hardships of life, but from the loss of human dignity in a life of poverty; man's wealth does not come from the accumulation of wealth, but from the fact that he does not lose his human feelings in a rich life. Man's wealth is the manifestation of certain noble qualities in the human soul.
Every family has a clear wind and bright moon, and losing the clear wind and bright moon is the saddest!
After drinking the hot "Bong tea", I strolled into the forest, saw many beautiful brown leaves in the cracks of the deciduous layer, picked up and looked, it turned out that the wings of the brown butterfly had fallen in the leaves due to death, saw the butterfly's wings mixed with the fallen leaves, felt that the butterfly ended a season of life is actually no different from the leaves, dust to dust, soil to the soil, one day will pass away with the wind in the world.
What is the difference between the human body and the wings of a butterfly? If we can't fly freely when we are alive, show this sincere body and mind, and let us become the ladder of happiness for all beings in the universe, but instead become the stepping stone of vulgar human beings, then life will lose its meaning and be empty to the human world!
When I go down the mountain, I think, let me always maintain a loving mind for the world, and always maintain a calm pace for life; let me always be a person who provides tea and water for all sentient beings, and gets cool in the heat.
