Pan An (247–300 CE), courtesy name Yue (名岳), courtesy name Anren (安仁), was a native of Zhongmu County, Xingyang County (present-day Zhongmu County, Henan Province), and a famous writer and poet of the Western Jin Dynasty.
Literaryly, Pan An and Lu Ji are called "Pan Jiang Lu Hai". Pan Yue's lamentations, together with his lament poems, constitute the most characteristic part of his work.
His "Western Expedition Fu", "Idle Residence Fu", "Qiu Xing Fu" and so on are all famous works throughout the ages. The tragic autumn tone in the work "Autumn Xingfu" has led posterity to use the term "Pan sideburns" to refer to the use of middle-aged sideburns and the first whitening of the sideburns.
Pan Yue originally elevated the style of "eulogy" to the height of "no one before and no one after the ancients", of which there is a sentence in the "Mourning Poems" that "like a fish swimming in the river, compared to the middle of the road analysis". For Li Shangyin's deep love, "only An Ren can make a recitation, He Zeng Song Yu to summon the soul", praising his mourning poems.
Ideologically, Pan Yue wrote in the fu work "Idle Residence Endowment": "Filial piety is filial piety, friendship is brother, and this is also the government of the clumsy.". The concept of "filial piety and filial piety, serving God" put forward by him, and the filial piety of the solemn and sacred Chinese "God" that are constantly mentioned in important texts of ancient China, have been integrated into the core value community of today's world civilization and become the core of value that will bridge the fault lines of various human cultures in the future.
Politically, during the Wei and Jin dynasties, the power changed, the wind and rain fluctuated, the disciples were precarious, they ate medicine, drank alcohol and indulged in singing and avoided the world, and Pan Yue preserved, continued, and developed a Confucian culture with harmony as the core in the fearless Confucian conduct of facing life and death. Pan Yue's primitive Confucian practical concept enabled him to face various social problems realistically. The administrative concept of abolishing the privileges of the nobility, the economic concept of protecting the private economy, and the ethical concept of the equal integration of all ethnic groups put forward by him still have far-reaching historical significance and practical space even today.
Pan Yue's poetry is good at writing, filial piety and sincerity, dedication to his wife, and sincere feelings for relatives and friends, why is such a protracted boy rated as "sexually frivolous and worldly", and finally ends up with the tragic fate of the three tribes?
Pan Yue was widely criticized, the first of which was the so-called "bailu dust". The Biography of Pan Yue in the Book of Jin records that "Yue was frivolous in nature, tended to be worldly, and did things with Shi Chong, and whenever he came out, he and Chongyuan looked at the dust and worshipped." In fact, this not only did not conform to Pan Yue's own consistent style of life, code of conduct, and moral standards; moreover, Shi Chong, who was listed as a party of "Bailu Dust" at the same time as him, was also a heroic man who did not even pay attention to the founding emperor of the Jin Dynasty, how could he fall under the rut of Jia Hou's nephew Jia Mi?
Second, frame the prince. According to the "Biography of Prince Huanhuai of the Book of Jin", one day, Jia Hou falsely claimed that Emperor Sima Zheng was ill, and it was rumored that the crown prince Sima Song had entered the dynasty. When Sima Suo arrived, he was led to another room, and a maid brought wine and dates, saying that it was given by the emperor, forcing the prince to get drunk. At this time, a maid brought a pen and paper and a cursive manuscript for the prince to copy down. The manuscript imitates the stylistic style of praying to the gods and the prince's usual intentions: "Your Majesty should be self-sufficient, not self-sufficient, I should enter it..." The author of the manuscript is Pan Yue. The Crown Prince was deposed as a result.
There are four suspicious points listed in the Book of Jin about the forgery of letters by Pan Yue and Jia Hou: First, the tone of the letter recorded in the full text of the Book of Jin is completely incompatible with That of Pan Yue, who adheres to the Confucian creed, and he does not possess such language and vocabulary at all; second, even if Pan Yue really falsifies it, he can also make a letter that can better put the prince to death; third, Prince Huanhuai is known for his arrogance and stubbornness, and it is absolutely impossible for him to copy this letter after drinking and forced to copy this letter under the obscenity of Jia Hou, making it a "court testimony" and causing his own head to be different Fourth, although Jia Hou was arrogant and extravagant, she did not faint, and it was absolutely impossible to depose the prince and establish Jia Mi.

This person is Sun Xiu. It turned out that Sun Xiu was just a subordinate official, Pan Yue's father Pan Qian had once been his superior, and Pan Yue was not ashamed of Sun Xiu's personality and had humiliated him many times.
Now Sun Xiu has defected to Sima Lun and served as Zhongshu Ling, and the villains have gained power, often extremely cruel and harmful. This made Pan Yue very afraid. One day, Pan Yue probed Sun Xiu: "Sun Lingyu remembers the past? Sun Xiu said, "The center hides it, and when will it be forgotten!" ”
In the end, Pan Yue and Shi Chong, among others, were exterminated.
History is often written by the victors. Pan Yue was also scolded for thousands of years because of the stigma of "hypopathy and worldliness"; because he could not bear the word "benevolence", the "benevolence" of "An Ren" was also eliminated, and Pan Anren became Pan Anren.
