The horror film "The Witch", which won the Theater Director Award at the Sundance International Film Festival, recently released its latest trailer, and the picture is full of eerie and dark atmosphere. The film Witch is set in the Salem witch hunt in New England in the 1530s. William and Catherine, a Puritan couple who were banished by the English church, lived with five children on the edge of an inaccessible wasteland. Soon after, however, the family's livestock began to become strange, the crops they planted were deteriorating day by day, and more seriously, their newborn son suddenly and mysteriously disappeared. Panic begins in the family, and the eldest daughter is misunderstood to be the source of all odd events. Whether the faith, loyalty, and love of all the people in the family can stand the test in this strange curse.
In the trailer, the innocent eldest daughter is ostracized by her family, and the mother sees her as if she has seen a demon, repeatedly as if she has seen a demon, and accuses her of bringing a merciless curse to the family. Blinded by pride, the father did not listen to advice and ruthlessly locked up his daughter. The black antelope and rabbit in the picture add to the mysterious atmosphere of the film.
Starring Ralph Yin, Kate Dickie, Julian Ricky and Anya Taylor-Joy, the 92-minute film is scheduled to be released in North America on February 19, 2016.
