Ancients Cloud: The Way of Heaven, Benefits Without Harm. Nature has given us everything, and people should love it and treat it well. The picture shows the rain forest in the twilight mist of The Five Finger Mountains in Hainan. (Photo by Jiang Enyu)

The wonder and beauty of the rainforest is unique on Earth. The picture shows the illusionary rainforest of Bawangling in Hainan.
Over the years, with curiosity and reverence for nature, I have repeatedly walked into the major tropical rainforest reserves and national parks on Hainan Island, as well as the tropical rainforest growth areas of Yunnan, Tibet, Guangxi, Taiwan and other places, made in-depth investigations and interviews, and also visited some tropical rainforests in South America and other places. That's how we went to the rainforest.
That's how we went to the rainforest.
When the buggy cannot be driven, so walk to the expedition camp.
At the camp, I lived in a tent like this.
In the field of scientific expeditions, most of the time to take the planned route, encounter mountains over mountains, meet rivers and cross rivers.
The sun shines on the rainforest and brings all life. Everything grows by the sun. Rainforest ecosystems begin with the sun and exist with the sun's energy— green plants complete primary production by photosynthetically synthesizing carbohydrates, storing them in places such as leaves and stems, thus beginning a food chain.
Insects, animals that eat leaves and young branches, eat these green plants into meat, snakes, lizards, all kinds of birds, etc. prey on insects, and these animals are the food of large carnivores, and finally, these different carnivores will also die, and after death, their bodies will rot and be decomposed by scavengers, ants and other small animals and bacteria, fungi, etc., releasing nutrients, and being absorbed by plants, growing more trees and grasses, feeding more insects and animals, and so on, and so on. The picture shows the Brazilian rainforest.
In the tropical rainforest, large trees, shrubs, ferns, vines and other plants grow intertwined, animals, insects are hidden in them, almost no creatures are not used by other creatures, caterpillars eat leaves, birds eat bugs, snakes swallow birds... Each has its own place, symbiosis and prosperity. The picture shows plants growing together in the wuzhishan rainforest.
The picture shows the tropical rainforest in the valley of the Brahmaputra River in Metuo, Tibet.
This is the crowned hornbill in the guangxi rainforest, not small, with a body length of about 70 centimeters.
Although the species of flora and fauna in tropical rainforests are abundant, the density of biological populations is very low. Walking in the rainforest, it is rare to see several of the same large trees growing together. The picture shows the hairy-eared squirrel in the rain forest of Bawangli in Hainan, eating, and it is a nocturnal animal.
Due to the scattered growth of plant species, insects and animals that feed on a certain type of plant must also inhabit a very dispersed place in order to find enough food. Pictured here is a vigilant velvet monkey in a Brazilian rainforest.
With the exception of a few gregarious animals like bats, ants, bees, and animals during mating, it is difficult to spot two identical insects in the same place in the rainforest. Pictured here are a few raccoons playing in a Brazilian rainforest.
It is almost impossible for tourists who only make a short stay in the rainforest to see a variety of animals, even if there are large numbers of insects, most people still can't see them because of their protective color, mimesis and other camouflage techniques. The picture shows various epiphytes on the top of a large tree in the Wuzhishan tropical rainforest.
The growth status of plants in the Bawangling rainforest.
Due to the combined action of sunlight, a large amount of rain and many fungi, the biological circulation in the rainforest is very efficient and rapid. The picture shows the hanging garden in the Brazilian rainforest.
Dead tree branches, leaves, animal excrement and carcasses, etc., are quickly destroyed by insects, bacteria and fungi and decomposed into nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, etc., and are quickly absorbed by plants. In the rainforest, a leaf can quickly decompose and disappear when it falls. The picture shows a pure color noisy crane in the Yunnan rainforest.

Banyan trees hanging in cambodia's rainforest.
A grimace moth in the Hainan Parrot Ridge Rainforest, it is famous for its grimace pattern on its back, which is not common in the rainforest.
This is a double-leaf green dew ant, its shape, size, body patterns, etc., and its habitat is very similar, has a good stealth effect.
There's a boat moth lying on its stomach here, can you see it?
There's a palm moth hidden here, did you spot it?
There is no garbage in the rainforest. There may be individual animal carcasses or fallen trees, but that is also just dead or decomposing. Only discards left by human activities remain on rainforest land for many years. Several tailed ants are feeding on a newly dead nocturnal moth larvae.

Rotting cicadas.
The exquisite and rigorous structure of tropical rainforests and the efficient, adequate and sustainable use of natural resources are beyond the reach of self-righteous human beings to this day, and we humans still have a lot of knowledge to learn from nature, and should not always think about how to transform nature with our own ideas and ideas. The wet surface of the rainforest is covered with fallen leaves.
