On November 5th, the photography project "Ginseng Fruit", co-sponsored by Shanghai Photography Art Center, Mr. Liu Xiangcheng and Ms. Zhou Xun, was officially met with the audience. The project is jointly participated by nine star artists, who will focus their camera lenses on the important people in life, using a unique photographic language to convey delicate emotional experiences and sincere life feelings.

"Ginseng fruit"

Star artists usually appear in the public eye in a glamorous image, and they also carefully interpret the roles in front of the camera according to the script. In this "ginseng fruit" project, how do they use the lens to express their most sincere emotions in their hearts? Today, Harper's Bazaar Art is the first to disclose the artists' creative stories and true insights.

As the first photography project in China to let artists return to their true selves and hearts and release their creative enthusiasm, "Ginseng Fruit" means a human fruit full of spirituality and nutrition, experiencing a complete process from sowing to harvest, just like everyone's long life course, rich and unique.

The project was | by Bi Gan, Chen Kun, Dou Jingtong, Huang Jue Mai Zi and Jiang Wen | Zhou Yun, Liu Haoran, Ouyang Nana, Shu Qi, and Zhou Xun participated together, and they recorded important people and events in their lives through photography, and integrated what they wanted to say and their true feelings into the photos. In this exhibition, people can also feel the profound connotation behind these images, observe their own unique and rich emotional world, and give more love and companionship to those around them.

In addition to the on-site exhibition, the short film of the "Ginseng Fruit" project will also be released in the near future. The film, led by renowned director Arthur Jones, chronicles the details of the project's shooting scene. Through the special perspective of the short film, the audience will have a deep understanding of the artists' creative ideas and behind-the-scenes stories, and explore the touching moments before and after the camera together.

The real feeling under the lens

"Ginseng Fruit" celebrates relationships, positive energy nourishing the spirit, and those who give unconditionally to us. And those beautiful emotions from family, friends, colleagues and loved ones are more like nutrients for life.

As one of the initiators of the project, Zhou Xun returned to his hometown of Quzhou, which is full of childhood memories, to take photos of the warm time of reuniting with his childhood friends, and integrated the memories and emotions of the past into the image. And when Liu Haoran faced this favorite actor predecessor, he chose to be a pure recorder. Under the depiction of his lens, Zhou Xun also seems particularly relaxed and natural.

In addition to being well-known actors, Chen Kun and Shu Qi are also the founders of Yamashita Academy, and they use cameras to record each other's appearance in Yamashita Academy. As friends for many years, they often capture each other's inadvertent moments in daily life. The long road of life, the friendship that has never changed is also a precious existence.

For Huang Jue, photography has become a habit of expressing love, and his lover MaiZi is the protagonist in his lens. He also often shares his family and the different people and things around him on social platforms. Whether as a husband, father or actor, he always enjoys the true feeling of memory brought by photography.

While flushing the film, Dou Jingtong's memories are evoked by people and events that have been forgotten during the journey. Unlike digital cameras, the joy of film is that it always surprises people and fills in the gaps and gaps in that memory. Ouyang Nana likes to "zoom in" on the subtleties of life, and even the inconspicuous wildflowers on the side of the road become a beauty that cannot be ignored in her lens. And she uses photography as a link between mother and daughter.

Also a depiction of his loved ones, Bi Gan creatively photographs his mother's shadow and affectionately interprets the meaning of "exchanging positions". In front of a wall plastered with script paper, director Jiang Wen used the camera to express his love for his muse Zhou Yun. Liu Xiangcheng, director of the Shanghai Center for Photography and Art, said: "During the filming of the project, Jiang Wen and Zhou Yun were working on a new script, and between busy work, the two participated in the creation of the 'Ginseng Fruit' project in the studio. I thank them from the bottom of my heart! ”

The meaning of photography

Liu Xiangcheng is not only one of the initiators of this project, but also a recorder. He uses familiar lenses to record the unknown side of these artists when they are created, so that the audience can more intuitively feel their real emotional experience under different roles.

Everyone is trapped by the passage of time, and it is difficult to find fragments of memory scattered in the depths of their hearts with the passage of time, which may be the fundamental reason why they want to use the lens to record the important people and things in their lives. Whether it is time with family, lovers or friends, it is a particularly precious and indispensable part of people's lives. The meaning of photography to life is that time is captured with images.

The famous American photographer Ansel Adams once said: "We don't just take pictures with our cameras, we take pictures of all the books we have read, the movies we have seen, the music we have heard, the roads we have traveled, the people we have loved."
