Dongyang, Zhejiang: Handmade brown sugar is fragrant in autumn

On November 2, 2021, in a sugar mill in Hongtang Village, Huashui Town, Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province, a sugar master used the traditional way to heat the sugar stalk juice and boil brown sugar, and the sugar workshop was steaming, tense and orderly, and the whole sugar factory was wafting with sweet flavor.

Brown sugar is a local specialty of Huashui Town, Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province. With the harvest of sugar stems, the production of indigenous brown sugar has also begun, and various traditional foods made with brown sugar have also been listed in large quantities.
