Changchun, September 30 (Xinhua) -- On the 30th, Chinese filmmakers and film fans came to Changchun Resting Garden to participate in the memorial service and farewell ceremony of Liu Shilong, a famous Chinese film performance artist, held here.
Liu Shilong died of illness in Changchun on September 27 at the age of 87. Born in 1930 in Anhui, Liu Shilong is a veteran of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. At the age of 9, he entered the Xiao County Propaganda Team in the SuluYu Anti-Japanese Base Area as a member of the team. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Liu Shilong participated in many plays, operas, dances and so on.

In 1955, Liu Shilong officially entered the Changchun Film Studio, and has played roles in more than 40 films, shaping a large number of household-known classic screen images.
In 1964, changchun film studios filmed "Heroes and Children", In which Liu Shilong played Wang Cheng, in which Wang Cheng clutched a blaster and rushed to the enemy line, and the classic line "For victory, shoot at me" has influenced generations of Chinese audiences.

At the memorial service site, some fans dressed up as "Wang Cheng" to bid farewell to their "heroic children" on the last journey. Liu Shilong's former colleague Liu Tingyao talked about choking up several times in the past, "Wang Cheng's screen image has inspired many of us! ”
On the 16th of this month, at the closing ceremony of the 26th China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival and the 31st Chinese Film Golden Rooster Awards Ceremony, Liu Shilong won the "Lifetime Achievement Award". (End)
