Thirty-one years later (560 BC), King Gong of Chu died. His son King Chu kang succeeded to the throne. King Kang had four younger brothers: Gongziwei, Gongzibi, Gongzixi, and Gongzi abandoned.

King Kang died fifteen years after his ascension to the throne, and his son Ren succeeded to the throne, which was Yu Ao. In the third year of his reign (542 BC), he had his uncle Gongzi Wei Lingyin (令尹) in charge of the military. In the fourth year, Gongzi besieged the envoy Zheng Guo, and halfway heard that the King of Chu was ill and returned to the Chu State. Gongzi went into the palace to visit the King of Chu, strangled the King of Chu with a hat and tape, and killed the Chu King's son Mo and Pingxia. Gongzi Bi fled to the Jin Dynasty, and Gongzi Wei took the throne, which was the King of Chu Ling.

In the eighth year (522 BC), King Ling sent his sons to abandon their diseases and lead troops to destroy the State of Chen. Ten years later, he was ordered to abandon the disease and pacify the state of Cai, and appointed him as the governor of Chen and Cai.

In the eleventh year (549 BC), the Ling King rebelled against the State of Xu to intimidate the State of Wu.

The Ling King was stationed at Qianxi waiting for Xu's army. In the spring of the twelfth year (529 BC), King Chu Ling coveted Qianxi and was reluctant to leave. The people at home suffer from forced labour.

Previously, when the Ling King was meeting with the princes in Shendi, he insulted the Yue Guo Doctor Chang Shou Guo and killed Cai Guo Dafu Guan Qi. Guan Qi's son Guan Cong fled to the State of Wu, and persuaded the King of Wu to attack the State of Chu and provoke the Great Master of the State of Yue to be a spy for the State of Wu. Forged the order of gongzi renunciation to recall Gongzi Bi in the Jin kingdom. Let Gongzibi meet with him and make a covenant at Deng Yi. So he entered the capital of Yingdu and killed Prince Lu of Ling, and established Gongzi Bi as the new king, Gongzi Xi as Ling Yin, and Gongzi as Sima (司馬).

Wash the palace first. Then Guan Cong led the army to Qianxi and told the Chu army, "The Chu state has a new king. The person who returns first restores the original title and feudal land house. Those who return after that are exiled will be exiled. The Chu army collapsed and left the Ling King to return to the capital.

When the Spirit King heard the news that Prince Lu had been killed, he fell under the car. The Spirit King wandered alone in the mountains, and no one among the people of the mountains dared to take him in. On the way, the Spirit King met his former Zhongjuan official, and said to him, "Find something to eat for me, I haven't eaten for three days." "Zhongjuan guan said": The new king has given the order that there are those who dare to provide you with food and those who dare to follow you, and the sins will be connected to the three tribes, and there will be nowhere to find food. The Spirit King then fell asleep on the thigh of the Trickle Officer on his headrest. Zhongjuan replaced his thighs with dirt blocks and withdrew. When the Spirit King woke up, he disappeared and was so hungry that he could no longer get up.

Shen Hai, the son of Shen Wuyu, a magistrate of Taro, said, "My father has violated the King's Law twice, and the Spirit King will not kill him, and Ender is no bigger than this. So he searched for the Spirit King, and when he encountered the Spirit King falling to the ground hungry in The Dragon, he helped him back to his home. On the fifteenth day of May in the summer, the Spirit King died in Shen Hai's home, and Shen Hai was buried with two women and buried them together.

At this time, although the State of Chu had already established Gongzibi as the new king, but was afraid that the LingWang would return again, and had never heard the news of the Ling King's death, so Guan Cong said to Gongzi Bi: "If you do not kill and abandon the disease, although you have obtained the country, you will still suffer disasters." The new king said, "I cannot bear to kill him." "Watching and saying": People can bear to kill you. The new king did not listen, and Guan Cong left.

After Gongzi abandoned his illness and returned to the capital, the people of the capital often panicked at night, saying, "The Spirit King has returned." On the night of the twenty-second day, the prince abandoned his illness and let the boatman run on the bank of the Yangtze River and shouted, "The Spirit King has returned!" "The people of the capital are even more frightened. Abandoning the disease, he sent Man Chengran to tell the new prince Bi and Ling Yin Gongzi Xi, "The Spirit King is coming!" The people of the capital will kill you, and the abandonment of disease will also arrive! Think of a way to end it as soon as possible, don't humiliate yourself, the anger of the crowd is like water that cannot be saved. The new crown prince Bihe and Gongzi Xi then committed suicide.

On the twenty-third day, gongzi abandoned his illness and ascended the throne and changed his name to Xiongju, which was king of Chuping.
