Tom · Clancy's "Cold-Blooded" will be released on Amazon Prime Video this year. Directed by Stefano Solima, the action thriller is based on Tom Clancy's 1993 novel of the same name, starring lead actor Michael Jordan. It will be Jordan's return to the action universe after his character killer at Black Panther. In addition to Jordan, the film includes Jamie Bell, Jody Turner-Smith, Coleman Domingo and Luke Mitchell. The trailer for "The Cold-Blooded General" has set expectations of Jordan as John Clarke high and made action books buzz. While we all know Clark as a former U.S. Navy SEALs, there are very few things you might not know about Clark from books.
John Clark had three important relationships in his life. His first time was Patricia, aka Tish, whom she married. Tish died in a car accident. Clark then falls in love with Pamela Madden, who is later raped and killed. However, in the film, Madden is pregnant when she is killed. Madden is the one who shined in Cold-Blooded. Later, Clark fell in love with Sandra O'Toole and had two daughters with her, Patricia Doris and Margaret Pamela.
While Jack Ryan is undoubtedly the most famous character created by Tom Clancy, the author describes Clark as the "dark side" of Jack Ryan, "more inclined to take on body movements than Jack.". We guess that's why the Cold-Blooded Gangster movie is full of high-octane action and incredible stunts.
Although Clark first appeared in 1987 with the Kremlin Cardinal, his origin story was only much more detailed after no remorse, released in 1993. That's the point of Michael B Jordan's films.
In the book, John Clark may have started out as a Navy SEALs, but he held many different positions throughout his life — he worked with the CIA as a combat officer, became Jack Ryan's chauffeur and bodyguard, and served as commander of rainbows of multinational counterterrorism forces. After retiring, he worked on the campus he created after Jack Ryan was elected president. The campus is an unknown intelligence organization.
In the book, John Clark has a distinctive feature — a small tattoo of a red seal on his forearm. It remains to be seen how the makers of Cold-Blooded Will handle this particular feature, or whether they have their own unique influence on Clark.
