Danyang City leaders investigated the autumn harvest and autumn planting and grain procurement

Zhao Zhiqiang stressed: It is necessary to further enhance understanding, implement the requirements of the party and government for food security, gradually consolidate responsibilities, reverse the timetable, seize the good weather, speed up the progress of the autumn harvest, and ensure that the granules are returned to the warehouse; start grain procurement as soon as possible, give play to the role of the grain system as the main channel for purchasing, and stabilize the rice market price; for the losses caused by the lodging of rice due to climatic reasons, agricultural insurance should protect the interests of peasant households as much as possible, strengthen communication with piccolades, and do a good job in providing guidance on claims settlement.

Since the beginning of this year, in accordance with the requirements of "stabilizing area, stabilizing output, stabilizing policies, and stabilizing efficiency," Danyang City has comprehensively promoted grain production. The area of autumn ripening crops in Danyang City is 486,900 mu, of which the rice planting area is 453,400 mu. According to the previous production measurement, the yield of rice is expected to reach 638 kg, an increase of 7 kg over last year. As of November 1, 453,400 mu of rice in Danyang City had been harvested 136,700 mu, accounting for 30%; wheat sown 29,700 mu, accounting for 7% of the planned sowing; and rapeseed planting 14,600 mu (including 0.6 million mu of direct rapeseed), accounting for 51% of the plan.

In order to do a good job in the autumn grain harvesting work, Danyang City has organized the implementation of 909 combine harvesters (including about 300 cross-regional operation harvesters), 855 sets of large and medium-sized tractors and supporting machinery, 550 sets of grain drying equipment, 918 wheat compound seeders, etc., and strengthened the scheduling and coordination of machinery, coordinated and organized cross-regional operations, avoided delaying the harvest progress due to mechanical tension, achieved a mature piece, harvested a piece, and strived to complete the rice harvesting task before November 15.
