If the youth is strong, the country is strong, and if the youth progresses, the country progresses. ——Liang Qichao, "Young China Says"
Heroes from ancient times out of youth
There are too many young heroes in the history of our country, especially in the period of revolutionary war, who are bold, courageous and resourceful, who are not afraid in the face of the enemy's threats, and who contribute their youthful wisdom to the revolutionary cause.
Among them, there was Pan Dongzi, who had a shining red star and became a guerrilla correspondent in place of his mother, who grabbed intelligence to sabotage the enemy's plans, and finally subdued the enemy Hu Hansan and became a glorious Red Army soldier.
There are also 12-year-old young heroes who protect revolutionary workers regardless of their own safety, Yulai, who is brave and resourceful in the face of the enemy's threats and inducements, and he has never been weak, heroically plunging into the river before the enemy shoots and diving into the water to swim.
There is also a heroine that the people will never forget - Liu Hulan.
She has experienced the hardships of life and came from a poor family. At the age of junior high school, she joined the ranks of women's revolutionary organizations in the village, publicizing the party's fine policies and mobilizing young people to join the revolution.
When the Nationalist army attacked Wenshui County, she took the initiative to ask for war behind her family's back, and engaged in a long-term negotiation and battle with the enemy, when she was only 14 years old, a communist who had just joined the party.
However, she is beyond the revolutionary will of ordinary people.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, an anti-Japanese democratic government was established in her village, and she was responsible for sending intelligence and organizing the masses to bury grain.
Later, when Yan Xishan's bandit army arrived in the village, she asked the organization for orders to fight, but was refused by her superiors, who on the one hand worried that she was too young, and that the situation was critical this time, afraid that her life would be in danger.
On the other hand, the purpose of the bandits' trip was to capture her.
It turned out that earlier, Liu Hulan, together with other guerrillas, had put the reactionary village chief to death, angering the reactionaries and wanting to rush to arrest her.
But at the age of 15, she was bold and tenacious, heroic and indomitable, and when she learned of such an insider, she stood up in awe and said: "Since their goal is me, then I can't be a turtle with a shrunken head and involve everyone!" ”
She pleaded with the organization: "Young age is my advantage, I will not easily attract the attention of the enemy, at the same time, I grew up in a piece of land since I was a child, what horns I have not been to, very familiar!" I can be a guide for everyone..."
After repeated pleading, the party organization finally agreed.
At first, the guerrilla work in the mountains was quite smooth, and in addition to taking care of herself, she also treated a wounded man, bought medicine for him, and carefully cared for him until he recovered.
However, the good times were short-lived.
As a result of the traitors' informants, the enemy quickly surrounded the mountain and captured other underground workers, and when her family dissuaded her to retreat quickly, she resolutely believed that she must wait until the next order of the organization.
However, the Kuomintang reactionary army immediately occupied the entire village, and Liu Hulan was also arrested. In the face of all kinds of threats and inducements from the reactionaries, she raised her head and never looked at them squarely, leaving only one sentence: "If I were afraid of death, I would not have become a Communist Party!" ”
Her move infuriated the Nationalists, who hacked to death the 6 members of the team who had been captured with her with a knife in front of the 15-year-old.
Watching the heads of the other team members fall to the ground one by one, she felt very heartache, and she also strengthened her conviction to fight for the revolutionary cause until the last moment.
She lifted her chest and looked up and walked calmly toward the cutter. Looking at the shining knife and the inhuman executioner's face, she didn't blink an eye, and finally collapsed in a pool of blood.
The great martyr Liu Hulan did not yield until his death.
At this moment, the cold wind whistled, as if she was screaming for this heroic heroine, as if she was declaring her oath of loyalty to the party and the country to the reactionaries.
Afterwards, the chairman personally wrote an inscription for Liu Hulan, praising her valuable spirit. The whole country is in a state of rage, trying to find the real murderer who killed her.
Through the description of the appearance of the people present, the Plakmen soon identified it as the work of the "bearded company commander". His name was Xu Desheng, and he was one of the company commanders under Yan Xishan.
At that time, there were no computers, let alone databases, and looking for it only based on the characteristics of "beard" was like finding a needle in a haystack.
But the People's Liberation Army cannot let it go unpunished, and the people cannot forget this heroic and righteous girl, and everyone is looking for it.
Finally, in the liberation and suppression operation in 1947, the executioner was captured.
It turned out that he had lost the battle, became the commander of the light pole, and had been fleeing in various counties, and later defected to his relatives' homes and was reported, only to reveal his original form.
Before the death penalty, he told the truth. It turned out that it was not him who killed Liu Hulan, but someone else, that person was a machine gun company commander and also had a big beard, and he was only the company commander's subordinate, and he was also a "scapegoat".
After repeated inquiries and confirmations, Xu Desheng did not lie, and the real culprit was Zhang Quanbao. In order to escape from the pursuit and escape to his hometown, this man changed his name and shaved his beard, and did not even recognize his old friends, which was very well hidden.
After the liberation of Shanxi, he had nowhere to flee, so he had to find a subordinate who had died and replace the name and identity of this subordinate. Only then did he have the opportunity to participate in the education and transformation organized by the People's Liberation Army and pretend to abandon the dark and cast light.
After a few more years, he escaped, became a small trader, saved a few money, and quickly found someone to publicize Xu Desheng's news, confusing the public and making everyone think that the real culprit was Xu Desheng.
Justice will only be late, but it will come eventually, and after Xu Desheng is captured alive, the reactionaries will be cleared up throughout the country. He was so flustered that he was afraid that he would confess himself, so he hid in the cellar of the village and only came out at night to forage for food.
Finally, one day, the police found that there were many cigarette butts near his house, and they were suspicious, after all, there was only his wife in the house, and he did not smoke, where did the cigarette butts come from?
The soldiers took turns on duty 24 hours a day, and finally caught him when he came up to dinner in the middle of the night.
It turned out that this real murderer hid in the cellar every day hungry, afraid and lonely, so he could only smoke to pass the time, and his own cigarette eventually became the "executioner" who killed him.
The so-called legal net has been restored and neglected.
In 1951, with the sound of a gunshot, Liu Hulan's murderer was also executed in the village where she died, and after so many years, the little hero was finally able to see it.
The times make heroes, and heroes make teenagers.
At the time of national peril, those brave young people who stepped forward, with their seemingly weak but unusually strong arms, supported our country and people. They are our heroes and an example for us to learn from.
Today, in the midst of the great modern powers of peace, we do not need to be like them to be ready to go to the front line and fight for life and death, nor do we have to live a difficult life without food and clothing. We should cherish the present and make a difference.
In the journey of building a socialist modern power, we need the strength of thousands of heroes, teenagers and young people, and we need to grasp the pulse of development and play the strongest sound of the times!
