The national first-class protected bird colored ibis appeared in Quanzhou, Fujian Province

People's Daily Quanzhou, August 25 (Chen Bo) Recently, members of the Xiamen Bird Watching Association observed the national first-class protected bird Caipiper in the Shishi Wetland Park in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, which is the first time that this species has been recorded in southern Fujian and the second record of this type of bird being found in Fujian Province this year.

The ibis is a medium-sized wading bird , with about 20 species worldwide. In addition to the islands of the South Pacific, there are warm climates all over the world. There are originally 4 species of ibises in China, in addition to the precious crested ibis, there are also colored ibises, white ibises and black ibises. The painted ibises are about 60 cm long and have a bright body color. The plumage is predominantly chestnut purple with a slight green metallic shimmer. It has a large body, long legs, and is similar in size to a crested ibis, but smaller than a crested ibis, with a slender, long beak.
