With blue-purple feathers and a long beak and a long neck, the huán glows with metallic luster in the sunlight. Yesterday, Haidu reporters learned from the forestry department that in the wetland of Funing Bay in Songshan Street, Xiapu County, the painted ibis, which was listed as the "giant panda among birds", appeared. This is the first time in more than 20 years that the colored ibises have been found in Fujian, and many local bird watching enthusiasts have also taken images of the colored ibises.

"We learned that the painted ibises appeared in Xiapu on April 9, so we prepared equipment to come and shoot, and it took four days to shoot." When it comes to shooting painted ibises, photography enthusiast Wang Naizhu is very excited. He said he had only heard of the bird and hadn't photographed it up close.
Wang Naizhu said that the painted ibises that appeared this time were a "couple", the male was slightly larger, and both the female and the male had metallic feathers. Xiapu Funing Bay has a wetland environment, where the water and grass are abundant, and the fish and shrimp that grow in the middle become a food source for birds.
The arrival of the painted ibis attracted more than 50 bird watchers and photographers from Fujian and Zhejiang provinces to shoot and observe. However, last weekend, the traces of the colored ibises were difficult to find, and Wang Naizhu also returned to Fuzhou to sort out the precious photos taken.

Bird experts told reporters that the colored ibis is a bird of the genus Colored ibises in the pelican family, with a body length of between 48 and 66 centimeters. In the recipe of the painted ibis, there are not only small fish and shrimp, but also mollusks, crustaceans and so on. They are distributed in southern Europe, Asia, Africa, central America, And China's Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hebei, Sichuan, Yunnan and other places are also distributed. However, the last time fujian had a record of a painted ibis, it was more than 20 years ago.
In Fujian, whether the colored ibises are resident birds or migratory birds, there is no clear statement in the industry. Bird experts explained that the number of colored ibises in China is not large, their habitat area is reduced, water environmental pollution, will affect their reproduction, China's endangered animal Red Book once declared that the colored ibis is extinct in China. However, since 2009, the painted ibises have once again appeared in our country.
