In the past, due to the insufficient height of the irrigation dam and the small amount of water storage in Song Village, Rough Shijiang Town, the water supply of the paddy fields in the village was insufficient and could only be "produced by the sky". This year, the town government included the dam reconstruction in Songcun in the "list of problems", and the project was completed by the end of June, improving the village's 900 mu of rice field drought and flood protection capacity.

Since the beginning of this year, Jiangyong County has actively carried out the practical activity of "I do practical things for the masses", sorted out the problem of the masses' "urgency, difficulty, and anxiety" into a task list, and clarified the responsible persons of departments, townships (towns), and villages to ensure that the problems are solved in a timely and effective manner. By the end of October, the county discipline inspection department had received a total of 13 letters and petitions on rural water conservancy, transportation, people's livelihood and other issues, with a completion rate of 98%. County functional departments, townships (towns), and villages collected more than 1,200 opinions on problems reflected by the masses, and each one was explained, replied to, and implemented.

Yang Tongmei, who lives in the lion-shaped village of Lanxi Yao Nationality Township, was originally a poor household, and the 10 acres of early ripening oranges he planted 3 years ago bore fruit this year, due to a frost in the winter of 2020, the fruit trees were seriously damaged, if not managed in time, the entire orchard would be abandoned.

In the spring of this year, the frostbitten fruit trees needed 6,000 yuan of funds, which made Yang Tongmei worried. After the village cadres learned about the situation, they reported to the township civil affairs office in time, and the 3,000 yuan temporary relief fund plus Yang Tongmei made up some money, which finally solved his urgent need and avoided returning to poverty due to disasters.

Provincial Highway S348 runs through the town of Shoshijiang and is connected to more than 10 village roads, 4 of which have steep slopes, and villagers often fall and fall on motorcycles. After the masses reflected the problem, the town government immediately organized personnel to conduct on-site investigation of the road conditions, invested funds to renovate the relevant intersections, and basically solved the problem in one month.

There are two stagnant ponds in Chengxia Village, Rough Shijiang Town, which affect the living environment of villagers due to the discharge of a large amount of domestic sewage. At the beginning of this year, the town party committee took the improvement of sewage ponds as an important livelihood project and included them in the scope of rural revitalization projects; invested 290,000 yuan to harden and green the periphery of the ponds, bury pipes to introduce living water, and the former stinky ponds have now become clear.

In order to smooth the information reflection channel, the Jiangyong County Government Affairs Service Center opened a 12345 service hotline, and the township (town) has a public notice board to indicate the responsible unit, the undertaker contact, the appeal service hotline and other information, and accurately connect the relevant demands of the masses. The 112 village (community) service centers in the county are on duty every day, and each village has established a "service for the people" WeChat group.
