The "Governance of Foshan" series of lists is a think tank research product compiled by Southern Metropolis Daily, which adheres to measuring the breadth of urban governance with big data, observing the depth of urban governance with advanced cases, setting up an evaluation system through the media perspective, comprehensively presenting urban governance capabilities and governance levels, interpreting Foshan's urban development logic, and promoting urban governance with the power of the media. Since the launch of the "Do Practical Things for the Masses" case collection activity in September this year, Party and government organs, enterprises and institutions, and social groups at all levels in Foshan have actively participated. The Nandu Foshan Research Group has received more than 120 application cases. After combing and finding, the declared cases responded to the voices of the masses in a timely manner and solved the problem of "urgent difficulties and expectations" from many aspects, such as implementing the new development concept, consolidating and expanding the results of poverty alleviation, ensuring the basic people's livelihood needs, deepening the reform of government services, promoting the modernization of grass-roots governance systems and governance capabilities, and optimizing the business environment.
At present, after the preliminary evaluation work of the Nandu Research Group, 80 candidate cases have been successfully promoted. Among these excellent cases, there are not only the implementation of the new development concept, the launch of Foshan's "Mayor's Express", listening to social conditions and public opinions, as well as deepening the reform of government services to implement "one-photo pass", so that data can run more roads and the masses can run less errands, as well as the province's first solar smart tidal lane, control campus congestion, and create a "Fengqiao-style" safe community to promote the modernization of the grass-roots governance system. In order to collect the "applause" of the masses, from November 2 to November 12, 80 candidate cases were publicly announced on the N Video App and the Southern Metropolis Daily App to receive tributes and praise from neighbors. Next, the expert group of the "Nandu Governance Observation Mission" will focus on several dimensions such as effectiveness, innovation, and response, and evaluate a number of excellent cases of "doing practical things for the masses" from them, and release them to the whole province at the 2021 "Governance of Foshan" list release activity.
