Absurd drama

The play has been called the greatest and most revolutionary play of the 20th century.

The play tells the story of two tramps, "Didi" and "Gogo", who meet on a wilderness path.

Gogo asked Didi, "What are you doing here?"

Didi said: Wait for people.

They started chatting. Chatted for a while,

Gogo said: Let's go.

Didi said: "We'll have to wait a while."

Didi asked: Who are you waiting for?

Gogo said: Godot.

Who is Godot?

I don't know.

So what are you waiting for him to do?

Just want to wait. Nothing anyway.

As night fell, the two tramps were gone. When he was leaving, he made an appointment to come back here tomorrow and wait for Godot.

The next day, the two tramps came to the old place to wait for Godot. On the third day, the Nth day, they came here on time every day to wait for Godot. In the meantime, they met many passers-by and asked them what they were doing here, and their answer was exactly the same: wait for Godot.

I don't know.

Don't know why you have to wait?

Just want to wait.

In the meantime, they talked about many, many repetitive words, and when they were done, they quarreled and even fought because they were bored.

Every day.

The whole play ends.

Godot didn't show up.

Godot didn't give anyone anyone.

The audience watches the play in anticipation; leaves the scene in an inexplicable way; spreads or watches several scenes in a row in a thoughtful way. The audience also spread the word that the show was good and was proud to have seen it, and everyone said it was good to see:

"Wonderful".

The play was staged in 1953 and the audience was overwhelming. After 59 consecutive performances, he was ordered to stop the performance. But the audience evaluation is very good. In the history of world theater, the play is a marvellous. It was later changed to a novel of the same name and spread far and wide.

The so-called "far-reaching" is to make all readers 100% dazed and 100% thoughtful.

Regarding the play, the audience, actors, experts, scholars, theorists, and dramatists have interpreted it in a variety of opinions. Among them, the more dominant interpretation is:

First, after World War II, nihilism was rampant, and people generally believed that life was meaningless.

Second, the appeal and cohesion of religion have dropped significantly.

Three, Godot is:

1. God;

2. Set or imaginary goals in your own mind.

Fourth, the tramp represents all men.

Coincidentally, in ancient Greek mythology, there was a god named "Sisyphus", who made a mistake, and Zeus punished him for pushing a boulder up the mountain all his life, and then let the boulder roll down the mountain, and then pushed it up the mountain, and repeatedly and forever.

"Sisyphus" is used as a metaphor for the three nothings of life:

Boring, boring, meaningless.

Today, almost all seemingly advanced scholars and their writings hold this view.

I happen not to follow the trend, I think life has meaning:

First, feed yourself

In the process of supporting yourself, try a variety of life experiences, while enjoying the fruits of hard work such as walking thousands of miles and reading thousands of books. In the meantime, struggle with heaven, with earth, with man, and enjoy it. Watch cooking tobacco, enjoy sex, practice emotional intelligence, often reflect, have taste, live up to Shaohua, and live up to the life course.

Second, inherit the bloodline

Accept the traditional ideas of Chinese culture, inherit and nurture future generations, and create and experience the joy of heaven. I regard "cave flower candles" as a beautiful thing; look at "children and grandchildren around the knees" as a beautiful picture; whenever I think that after I leave, the world still has my blood, I am calmly relieved.

Third, explore the unknown

"The world is so big, I want to see it". Interesting facts in the book, there is knowledge in the book; flowers, birds, fish and insects, birds and animals; Kilimanjaro, the Pampas, the Grand Canyon of colorado, the Nile, the North and South Poles, inside and outside the Great Wall; the ancients in the book, the exotic terroir in the book; the stars in the sky, the mysteries of the universe; the origin of life, the farewell of apes, the evolution of history, and the philosophy of life I want to hear and see.

Although I am a person who speaks softly, has a low status, and has a narrow influence, my above meaning of life has been ridiculed and denied by the learned. They say that it is nothing more than:

"Alive".

But I am still the same as I am. Nothingness may make one contemplate; hope is the true taste of life.
