The latest work of the "Army of the Living Dead" universe: in fact, it is the prequel "Legion of Thieves", which is listed on Netflix. Director Zack Schneider can't help revealing that "Legion of the Living Dead" is already going to develop a sequel, and he has even taken the title.
In 2004, Zach Schneider remade the classic film Dawn of the Living Dead, after which he began to develop his own set of zombie classics. The script for Army of the Living Dead was discussed at Warner Pictures, frozen, and eventually transferred to Netflix with Za. Until "Army of the Living Dead" was finally released on Netflix in 2021, it has gone through 17 years, and in the process of constantly revising this script, Za Director has many more ideas - "Legion of Thieves" is one of the examples... Dieter, who is responsible for unlocking the vault gates in Army of the Living Dead, is recruited in the prequel by a mysterious beauty, Guan Doring, who plans to steal the three vaults.
This is the time we can see Dieter who is nervous and always thinks too much, because you can see it in Army of the Living Dead... Dieter ends up locking his teammates in a vault and going out alone against zeus, the mighty zombie leader. Zeus was unstoppable, and professional soldiers who were several times more powerful than Dieter were no match for Zeus's attack. Dieter, who basically has no chicken power, has to face Zeus (and a group of fast-moving zombies) alone, it can be said that the winning rate is infinitely close to zero, although we can't see Dieter's end, but he should be more fierce and less auspicious... Is this really the case?
"But when the vault door closed, the real adventure for Dieter began." Did he succeed in killing Zeus? What the hell is going on? Zadeau inexplicably breaks the news: first, he implies that Dieter is not dead (almost explicitly), and that he somehow kills/evades Zeus's deadly attack, survives, or becomes a zombie virus carrier/a "quasi-zombie" who has not yet transformed into a zombie, and then continues his story. More importantly, Dieter originally had another goal of his own, to save Guan Dorlin, who debuted in "Legion of Thieves" and played by Natalie Emmanuel.
Za Dao also broke the news: Guan Duolin was imprisoned, was she imprisoned because the robbery mission of "Legion of Thieves" failed? Or maybe she was locked up because she angered the tycoon Tanaka (Hiroyuki Sanada) – after all, Kwan was planning to rob Tanaka of three vaults.
After watching Legion of Thieves, we should know more about the relationship between Dieter and Guan Duolin (and Tanaka). And Za Dao, who has prepared most of the stories of "Planet of the Living Dead", said that he is ready for a "super crazy" idea to put into the sequel, and even whether Netflix pays or not, he is ready. However, within four weeks of its launch, "Army of the Living Dead" attracted as many as 75 million Netflix users to click to watch the strong blockbuster, and Scott Stubb, the head of Netflix's original film, has long been happy to see it: Netflix is willing to accept the new living corpse universe directed by Za.

The "Army of the Living Dead" related animation series "Lost Casino" mentioned by the person in charge has been scheduled to be released early next year, and now, the sequel "Planet of the Living Dead" is also likely to enter production as soon as possible.
