Born on September 22, 1922 in Hefei, Anhui Province, Yang Zhenning went to the United States to study and teach in the 1940s. In 1957, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics together with Lee Jung-do for proposing the principle of non-conservation of cosmology in weak interactions. His "Jan-Mills gauge field" theory is one of the most important achievements of physics in the 20th century.
