
World Martial Arts Champion Huang Julong
On March 12, 2015, at the World Wushu Competition held in Hong Kong, Huang Julong of Yulin Bobai won the three world championships of Southern Fist, Big Knife and Double Knuckle Stick.
In the 1930s, when Li Zongren, Bai Chongxi, and Huang Xuchu were in charge of guangxi's military and political affairs, they put forward the "Three Self" and "Three Yu" policies, with the banner of "building Guangxi and reviving China", and strengthened the organization and military training of students and vigilante groups. In terms of promoting sports, it focuses on national arts (i.e., martial arts), shooting, athletics and swimming, and despises ball sports.
Guangxi Guoshu Museum
In 1933, Zhang Zhijiang, director of the Central Museum of Chinese Arts, came to Nanning to advocate The Art of The Chinese Arts, and the Chinese arts personnel who came with him retained some people for the Guangxi authorities to train the police and the army in the art of the State, and prepared to establish the Guangxi Museum of Chinese Arts.

In October 1934, the Nanning Guoshu Research Society was established. The president was Zhou Bingnan, then director of the Guangxi Provincial Capital Public Security Bureau, with the Minsheng Road People's Club (now in the Nanning Hotel) as the site, with two departments of teaching affairs and affairs, and six playgrounds, recruiting students to learn Chinese arts. He has held two training courses, each eight months old, teaching courses in addition to boxing, sticks, knives, guns, but also learned the art of bayonet, knife and wrestling (i.e. wrestling). In November 1935, the society was merged into the Guangxi Guoshuguan.
Guangxi GuoshuGuan was officially established in April 1935. The curator is Bai Chongxijian, and the deputy curators are Li Chaofang and Wang Zanbin (both Gui generals). Ma Yufu, the former boxer of the Central Guoshu Gym, is the chief instructor, and Li Guang'en is the chief instructor, and the museum is also located in the People's Club.
In June 1935, the museum held a national art training class with 120 students, which were selected by each county, 2 from the first and second class counties, and 1 from each county below the third class. Participants must pass the examination to be admitted. Students are available from 18 to 30 years of age, graduating from junior high school or with a comparable level of education. The annual allowance for the trainees is 170.5 yuan per person, which is borne by each county.

(2) Disciplines: Leg Technique, Boxing Practice, New Martial Arts Fist and Foot Section, Shape Intention Boxing, Tai Chi Quan, Eight Pole Quan, New Martial Arts Wrestling Section, Throwing Boxing
(3) Equipment: Miki sword, new style martial arts branch, plum blossom knife, six-in-one gun, battle knife
(4) Competition: wrestling, spear, sword splitting, fist and foot confrontation, instrument confrontation
(5) Electives: Mian Fist, Drunken Arhat, Drunken Eight Immortals, Drunken Fist, Monkey Fist, Daguan Knife, Double Knife, Lock Flower Gun, Expanding Pistol, Grappling Method, Eighteen Kinds of Weapons To Dismantle
(6) Military training
The study period is one year, and the screening examination is held every three months, and those who fail to pass are returned to the original county. Those who pass the final examination are allowed to graduate. After graduation, the trainees returned to their original counties to become coaches.
At the beginning of 1936, the Central GuoshuGuan also sent Fan Zhifang and Fan Zhizheng sisters to the museum as teachers to promote women to exercise Guoshu.

Nanning Jingwu Sports Association
The Jingwu Sports Association is a mass organization, its organizations are all over the country's large and medium-sized cities, with the purpose of studying sports and carrying forward the national spirit. The founder and head coach of the Nanning Jingwu Sports Association was Chen Hongshu, who came to Nanning in the winter of 1930 to prepare and was officially established in October 1931. The venue is located at Shunde College on Guild Hall Street (later known as Bo'ai Street, now Zhuangzhi Road), equipped with national technical fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and a water swimming pool on the yongjiang River.
The first president was businessman Huang Peihou, and later Luo Zhongyi, Song Shenfu, Li Fa, Tang Chaohuan and so on all served as presidents. Military and political dignitaries such as Li Zongren, Bai Chongxi, Ye Qi, Xia Wei, and Wei Yongcheng were also hired to serve as honorary presidents. In terms of coaches, there are Li Lianyuan, Xu Jingbo, Laoshen, Zhou Quan, Yan Changgeng, Bai Fengzhen (female), Lu Xiaolian (female) and so on.
The association has held many traditional Chinese art training classes and swimming training classes in Nanning. At the highest number of members, there are more than 500 people, and female members often have dozens. In 1933, a branch was established in Xinhui College, with Chen Hongshu and the president of the branch, and after Chen Hongshu left for a while, Bai Chonghui presided over the conference and head coach. The site of the JingwuHui was successively relocated to the Linjiang Guild Hall on Renai Road (now the area from the former seven forks of Wanda Plaza to Minsheng Square) and the Zhejiang Ancestral Hall on Minsheng Road. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, after the Guangxi GuoshuGuan was discontinued, the Jingwu Association was moved to the People's Club.

Both the Guangxi GuoshuGuan and the Nanning Jingwu Sports Association are mainly based on the teaching of Paibei school boxing, which is the main channel for the introduction of Northern Fist to Guangxi.
