When talking about The Walking Dead, in addition to the zombies that can never be killed, many people in the surviving protagonist group should be the first to think of the protagonist Rick Grimes!
As the plot of "The Walking Dead" unfolds, the members who have struggled from the first and second seasons have left one after another, coupled with the weakness of the plot in recent years, perhaps making Andrew Lincoln, the protagonist who has played Rick for 9 years, feel tired... Before the start of season 9, there was news that Lauren Cohan and Andrew Lincoln, who played Maggie, had decided to leave the crew.
At the San Diego Comic-Con symposium a few days ago, Andrew Lincoln confirmed that he would leave the 9-year performance of "The Walking Dead", in which Rick is a leader who although he will waver from time to time, but always chooses to continue to struggle for the people around him, making people feel that they can be trusted!
In real life, Andrew Lincoln also received friendship and praise from most of the actors, including Spencer Monroe, the actor Austin Nichols, who appeared from seasons 5 to Season 7!
Hearing that Andrew Lincoln will be leaving The Walking Dead, Austin Nikos tweeted a short article praising Andrew Lincoln's selfless character and ability to infect others with leadership talent, and it is not difficult to understand why the Walking Dead actors come and go, but they are proud to have joined the crew!
Austin Nix tweeted "Andrew Lincoln – My Hero" (translation below)
"He was holding an axe in his hand, covered in blood, wearing the same pair of cowboy boots that he had started shooting in the first episode 9 years ago, and squatted on the grass for an hour waiting for the camera to turn around. Muttering his eyes to the sky, half shouting, half roaring at something to raise his spirits in the face of the difficult scene, the camera began to turn, and the person here was no longer Andrew Lincoln, but...
Rick Grimes, our leader, our brother. He's been Rick for 9 years, and for 9 years he's been encouraging us to take better care of each other.
My time in the safe community lasted only two years, but during that time I discovered a hero, Andrew, who I had always regarded as an actor, as a man, as a friend, and hopefully, in the near future, I would also be a husband and a father.
Over the years, I've been in different sets and film crews, but I've never met a leader like Andrew, and I've seen scary evils in a lot of actors: screaming, psychological manipulation, putting up racks, ulterior motives, but from Andrew, I see selflessness, I see elegance, I see kindness, I see him helping other actors when they are struggling, I see him giving up the spotlight that can be easily monopolized.
In Atlanta, where the temperature can rise to 40 degrees Celsius, the air is wet and slippery, Andrea is always covered in blood and zombie flesh, always responsible for performing heavy emotions. It's a world where life and death are staked, and Andrew never forgets that, and if someone accidentally gets briefly distracted, Crouching on the grass always reminds us of what's most important.
I left The Walking Dead with the strongest sense of mission in my life, I wanted to do the same thing as Andrew, I wanted to lead and inspire people, I wanted to take on more responsibility, I wanted to spread the same love and kindness to every actor who came to my crew.
When I'm in the series, a lot of people will tell me that they don't like zombies, and I'll simply answer: This series isn't about zombies, it's about humans taking care of each other, it's a story about love, the bondage between people, that's why we watch The Walking Dead, heroes sacrifice themselves to save what they love, that's what Andrew Lincoln does every day in the crew. He watched over us, helped us, saved us, he loved us, and, I really believed, Andrew was pretty much on the subject of the play. What he does every day saturates every page of the comic because of his love, seeps into all of us, into every hero and villain.
It seems like a delicate time for us humans to open the news every day and see hate and violence, hate people spreading their messages around to breed hate, and our leaders seem to amplify that hatred or show it again. However, I am here to tell you that there was a man in Atlanta, a leader, who set a positive example for all of us, and the Walking Dead crew employed hundreds of people, and these people who connected with him as a result, all of whom were encouraged by his positive attitude towards him. They spread that love when they go home to be with friends and family, and Mr. Lincoln is a true leader, and I think it's not just a coincidence that he has such a strong surname.
I recently heard that Andrew is leaving, and I hope he has all the good fortune in this world, and playing Rick for 10 years is an impressive feat. Almost every day, in every scene he was present, never resting, no comfortable trailer with air conditioning, at least he didn't. That's how he threw himself into it. Once, after filming one night, covered in blood and dirt, drowsy and open for a long time to come home, when he got home, his children were sitting at the table eating breakfast, and he was worried that it would scare them and leave them traumatized by such a terrible father, Andrew, I hope your children can know that their father is the most admirable man, and they will grow up to be strong, compassionate, loyal, upright people like him. They'll also be proud of Dad playing Rick.
If you need me for anything in the future, I will always help you, just as you help me with other actors who are lucky enough to stand on the same grass as you."
The 9th season of "The Walking Dead" is scheduled to return from October this year, Andrew Lincoln will star for the last time, I don't know what will happen to the next series, everyone is still looking forward to it!
