Founded in 1986, the Shanghai Light Music Troupe under Shanghai Wenguang Performing Arts Group is the earliest light music troupe in the founding of New China, and it is also a large-scale state-owned pop music performance group rarely seen in China.

In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, from June 21 to 22, the Shanghai Light Music Troupe will perform the "Pursuit" theme concert at the Oriental Art Center, which is also one of the "100 Years of Dreams and 100 Years of Hymns" series launched by the Shanghai Light Music Troupe.

The concert will be sung from Shikumen to Tiananmen, with the search for the spiritual genealogy of the Communist Party as the clue, looking for the spiritual genealogy of the Communist Party as the coordinates, the newly created adaptation of 24 classic songs and instrumental music such as "Shandan Danhua Blossoms Red and Colorful", "Please Come to the End of the World", "Battle Song of the Strong Army", "Sunshine Avenue" and so on, at the same time, in the form of instrumental ensembles, song choruses, musical shorts and other performance forms, presenting a concert with the style of "new light music".

The concert, which invites Ding Wei to be the director and the musician Peng Cheng to be responsible for the adaptation, will use unique techniques to lead the audience to relive the classic stories of the great cause of party building, the Zunyi Conference, the great cause of the founding of the country, the spring wind of reform, and the comprehensive construction of a well-off society, inherit the red spiritual genealogy such as the spirit of Jinggangshan, the spirit of the Long March, the spirit of the Zunyi Conference, the spirit of Yan'an, the spirit of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea, and the spirit of "two bombs and one star", and tell the red theme story well.

"I grew up listening to the songs of the Shanghai Light Music Troupe, bought a lot of records, and received the task of performing, I was very excited, very excited." Ding Wei, who comes from the China Opera and Dance Theater and is known for directing musicals, said that all the songs at the concert, from the instrumentation to the arrangement, are fresh and refreshing.

It is worth mentioning that the two founding heroes of the Shanghai Light Music Troupe, the 84-year-old singer Zhu Fengbo and the 79-year-old composer and conductor Tu Bahai, will all appear on stage in a special way.

Tu Bahai once led the Shanghai Light Music Troupe to actively promote and disseminate Chinese pop music works, and is one of the important forces promoting the prosperity of Chinese pop music. At the concert, he will personally conduct his creation of "Happy Dai Township", which is a song with ethnic minority flavor, and the spring breeze of reform and opening up will come to the fore.

Zhu Fengbo is also the "living signboard" of the Shanghai Light Music Troupe, and the "founding father" of modern Chinese pop music. At the concert, Zhu Fengbo will share the stage with Qian Huiping and Ding Yifan to bring a women's trio of "My Motherland". Although he is already eighty years old, Zhu Fengbo's voice is still clear and bright, and his dress is very fashionable.

"I used to be at the opera house, mainly singing opera. Light music is mainly singing, jumping and jumping, more close to the people, more casual, and the audience is easier to accept. Zhu Fengbo laughed and said that he was old, and now he did not practice much, usually at home is to sleep, eat and drink, read newspapers, read novels.

Dong Deping, head and secretary of the Shanghai Light Music Troupe, as the chief planner, planned the "Centennial Dream and Centennial Hymn" series of trilogies: June is "Pursuit", with the theme of pursuing the spiritual genealogy of the Communist Party; November is "Starting Point", which means that the Communist Party that has gone through 100 years and the Shanghai Light Music Troupe that has gone through 35 years will usher in a new starting point; next year it is planned to launch "Journey" to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party. The trilogy is expected to perform three hundred times.

The "Centennial Dream and Centennial Hymn" music party class created by Shanghai Light Music Troupe has also become one of the brands of the orchestra. The music party class tells the history of the party in the form of music, with the four chapters of "breaking new ground", "changing the world", "turning the earth upside down" and "earth-shaking" as the main line, and stringing together the history of the struggle of the Chinese nation under the leadership of the Communist Party over the past hundred years in the form of "music + singing". At present, the music party class has performed 20 times, and is approaching the goal of 100 performances.
